Admin Vista Posted January 24, 2016 Admin Report Posted January 24, 2016 Want, want, want, want! In RHD though obviously
ianb10 Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 Oh yeah, must agree with you on that one. Always had a soft spot for the Mustang.
HotRodMatt Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Not a fan of Mustangs in general (except a '69 Fastback) but I saw one of these a few weeks back in town and it was very very nice.
khanlad Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 It looks a bit like an audi tt that's been to the gym! 1
dalmarshall Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 For such a big car I was surprised at the lack of room in the back, probably more space in the back of a 911
SmokeEm Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 I was looking at buying a new one for the Wife upon release but the entry level V8 was 36k! Think I'll wait for a couple of years and buy a used one.
colr6 Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Not going for HIS and HERS then smoke em ? 1

Think I'll wait for a couple of years and buy a used one. I think that philosophy applies to every new car Dave. I bought my car as the 2nd Owner at 3 years and 1 month old. The first Owner had taken an eye watering £24k (possibly more if he traded it in) in depreciation and the car had still only done 25k miles.
SmokeEm Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Not going for HIS and HERS then smoke em ? Lol, I don't really need a car Colin as Shell does all the driving. (Hence, MY daily is a 350bhp V8 Merc Coupe )

The first Owner had taken an eye watering £24k (possibly more if he traded it in) in depreciation and the car had still only done 25k miles. Agreed. That being said, I'll probably wait until a good used low miles car hits the 20k mark as I can't justify spending more for the 6-7k miles a year that Michelle does.
aardvark101 Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 A 67 Mustang would be my lottery car,but that looks like sex though. Wonder how it stacks up against the new Challenger Hellcat (700BHP from the factory )
mk2 mike Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 It looks a bit like an audi tt that's been to the gym! And the front end from a focus.
khanlad Posted January 26, 2016 Report Posted January 26, 2016 Yeah the love child of a focus and tt !
Admin Vista Posted January 26, 2016 Author Admin Report Posted January 26, 2016 You're all being too unkind, a big CC RWD V8 with lots of grunt and aggressive but cool looks to boot. In what way does that resemble a Titty or Focus? Can't see it myself
Admin Vista Posted January 27, 2016 Author Admin Report Posted January 27, 2016 Pah, purely superficial resemblance I recall Clarkson once saying that the Capri rear 1/4 window resembled that fitted on a 911. Even if he was right does that make a 2.8i capri a 911 clone? No.
brettp Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 I want one the engine is possibly the best sounding v8 ever
accord83 Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 I saw the title and expected a thread on Austin Maxi's, imagine my disappointment.............

Even if he was right does that make a 2.8i capri a 911 clone? No. Well it could be why the Capri is also known as a poor mans Porsche...........
Admin Vista Posted January 27, 2016 Author Admin Report Posted January 27, 2016 I saw the car in the opening post but really would prefer an Austin Maxi, imagine how exciting that would be? 1
accord83 Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 And there was me thinking you were a gentleman of taste and fine breeding.
colr6 Posted January 27, 2016 Report Posted January 27, 2016 Don't worry accord83 think its a southern thing Posing in so called muscle cars (a pimped up Audi TT ) to make up for areas there lacking in ! 2
