I seriously hope you have  the  answer i'm looking for because i think we have something very exciting on the way for Ford fans that like period kit.

Just to be clear, and ytou may want to chuck me off the forum, but i am contacting you from Longstone Tyres. But i think i have some really good news for you; It begins in C and ends in inturato.

One of the best tyres of the 60's and 70's would have been the Michelin 'X' or the Pirelli P6 any left now from that period though would be past their sell by date! they are probably being re-made somewhere in India now with the original molds, but guess they not be to the same specification!

Hmm Cinturato.........

According to Pirelli website...

New age low friction high mileage green and greenisch tyre, rim size varying depending on Cinturato model ( P1. P7 & P7 Blue ) 14 - 18" rims.

Nice scam mate, not available for 13" rims.

New age low friction high mileage green and greenisch tyres are not suitable for Old Skool Fords !!!

My Mk2 originally came with CN36s in 175/70 13s from the factory. The first set of replacement tyres I got for the car were the same. They wore well but I dont remember them being all that inspiring. By the time the need for the next lot of tyres the CN36s had been discontinued and moved on to other brands and never went back to Pirelli again until this year when I bought one as a spare because it fitted in the wheel well. Chinese made.

Goodyear nct2, p6, remember some sort of Avon things that were pretty good too? I ran 14' mangles, (similar to weller) on my mk2 escort to get a better tyre, most of the hot hatches ran 14's so there was a massive choice in that size, 185/60/14
