It doesn't look as bad as I had envisaged to be honest. Does it feel OK when driving?

The car isnt registered at the moment so I cant drive it. I have been focusing on my Mk2 for the past few years the Twincam has been totally neglected. Only just gotten some new drums to replace the old stuff damaged from being idle for so long. It turns over but wont fire up so have to look into that as well. The wheel is contoured to feel very nice no doubt but its those contours and thumb grips that look out of place. So Im not sure yet. Am hoping this thread takes off with all sorts of wheel combinations in their old Fords and I can pinch and idea.

TBH don't think you can really improve on a RS mk1 wheel.....they just look right !

They do seem to work on later Mk1 RS2000s but not so sure on the earlier 70s models. I probably view them differently to you guys as that wheel was just a Mk2 wheel here and wasnt seen until 1977 and only found on Rally Packs. When the RS2000 Mk2 came out in 79 it became the standard wheel for that too so when I look at it I see a Mk2 wheel not a Mk1 wheel. Half the problem its had the same wheel on it since I bought it so anything different looks strange. Its why I put the new one one a few days ago just to break with the old wooden wheel. The new Momo had been sitting in the cupboard for 5 years or more so thought what the hell just try it for a change till I can find something that suits better.

Here is the office , the steering wheel was a £90 ebay special with boss. Its a little bit too far away from the stalks but is very comfortable and better than the old bus wheel  I had.

Ideally wanted a lotus one but I'm Deffo not paying £600 plus for s/ h one, so I thought this was near enough. Put it this way a blind man would be glad to see it !

I have owned a rare 13" woodrim motalita wheel which came off a mk1 capri I bought years ago....I was hell bent on using it in my escort as the centre cap is embossed with the mk1 "escort" script! My mates have been taking the piss out of me for years for insisting I am using it in an escort!

Anyway....like many others on here I'm sure....I've got a bit of a steering wheel fetish now!! I was looking at an anglia van with a cortina 1600e steering wheel in it and I thought....
