Looks like one of Richard Hammonds bodge jobs from top gear to get him going so he doesn't have to drive the Marina following behind.

Carlos Fandango
Ah no! I almost forgot this! The hub fell off towing it home. I checked all the wheel nuts but didnt realise there where wheel adpators under them... with just 3 threads holding them on. The brake find was a bonus. Carlos Fandango
Oh yeah, its taken me 2 years to get a password reset, a lot of bodgery has come n gone since then. It all seems normal to me now. Heres a classy ride height mod for when the strut tops rip out......

alfredebdon
My generator light kept flickering (105e Anglia), the alternator was quite new so I thought I'd better investigate the wiring where the regulator had been removed. Found them loosely twisted round each other with a small amount of black tape. Glad I found it before it set fire to my car.
Carlos Fandango
Thats just thai style wiring. Every connection here is like that....including 240v mains in the shower.
Vista
Nice bit of welding there. Looks perfect, no gas leaks from that fine repair! 😎 Oh wait, cough splutter!
colr6
Your just been to critical now 😳 Vague resemblance to the welding on those ‘new’ mk2 escort shells.....lol
katana
Do you think whoever did it said to themselves - I have a MIG and no idea how to use it, how to prepare metal and what the finished article is supposed to look like so I best put a box over my head and do it by touch (by my guide dog!) Please just learn to weld!
Mexican Gerbil
When removing a fuel tank from a previous car I noticed something wasn't right in the filler neck. The rubber had perished so some knuckle head jammed a short piece of plastic pipe in the hole and screwed it to the body adaptor........ genius Ps just spent about 20 mins looking for this photo
Vista
A little bump for this thread. Bit of insulating tape and it'll be fine right?
katana
You been sneaking a look at my new loom - cheeky bugger LOL! Seriously though, just seeing all those blue / yellow crimp connectors set off the warning bells regardless!

Rally Pack 2000
I know we all call modern cars tin cans but bottle beams and blinkers is just extending the metaphor a bit much.
