That's the one, TBH after boring myself to death at the supposed 25000 RS bits. Saw it, listed it in my watch list that was it.

I paid the equivalent of 200 pounds for a set for parts once. It was no where near the condition as that one. It needs a new speedo and perspex. I have thought about getting a Sport dash to get the spares for it to recommission it but haven't thought it was worth the expense before. Australian RS dashes are all in kilometres as well so no good in the UK and therefore wouldn't fetch that kind of money either.

PS That cluster also appears to be missing the single bulb holder Dale was after as well and thats important as replacements are difficult to find.

Showing the RS tax at work. If someone was doing up a GL you can get a mint set of Instruments for 75 pounds. You rarely see them that good.

I have seen regular clusters without trip meters before but all the RS and later Orange needle Sport types ones have trip meters here. I have never seen an RS cluster without a Trip meter before until I just noticed that one. I would be interested if it was specific to a model or maybe its just one that someone has built up themselves. Just change the speedo and perspex and its all done.

I want a new passenger side wing mirror for my RS and one came up last week on Ebay. It was up to £136 on the last day with 6 hours left. I don't know what it ended up going for but I wasn't going to pay that sort of money. I might sell my RS and get a popular plus!

According to ads on eBay anything that's fits a mk2 escort is for an RS so attracts the tax!!.....lol you need an Austin allegro if you want cheap bits, only cos no b----d wants them?

It was a non remote one i'm after. My car is a 77 so the remote isn't connected to the car, it follows me everywhere I go and I have two of them!

I'm sure in my research of the RS, up to the custom model which came out in 78 they were adjust by hand only and then with the custom, by the little knob on the door card and then later still the remote mirror came out. I'm not sure what year though.

None of the Mk2's ever had elec adjust mirrors - only the little joy stick adjust!

the electric ones are from london taxis. the black cabs. none of the escorts had electric mirrors. also ive never seen rs clocks without a trip. maybe been rebuilt with a standard perspex and speedo to make a complete set of clocks.
