johnboy Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 Hi all, Just thought I reintroduce myself to the forum, I'm actually an old member that hasn't posted for a good few years, so I thought I'd try and get involved again! Unfortunately life got in the way of project cars. Kids, house moves, house renovations, lack of a garages etc meant that my old Escort was taken off the road in 2006 and I didn't get it back up and running until this July. Its a '79 Riviera Blue Mk2 that was my first car at 17 (1997). Its a little tatty but solid in the right places and mechanically sound. Some of you who used to meet up in Yorkshire will remember it with a 2.0 Pinto EFI, but after getting a garage built last year I've finally completed the engine conversion I've had in mind for years, its now running an injected 20XE. It's also had a full mechanical once over and is driving better than ever. Does anyone on the forum still meet up in the Yorkshire area? John 3
