Colin, change the title, the thought of seeing you in your speedos does nothing to encouraging looking at the post lol

I was going to say you always get one don’t you. 🤔 but got two.

seen a nos cortina dash on fleabay for £120 would assume if the same was advertised as a RS speedometer it would be a lot more with the RS tax. My holder number cross references the same as the Tina. Thighs it might be worth a go on it.

Were you looking for a white needle or or an orange needle? Whats the maximum miles on the dial?

Orange needle and 140 mph. 334833474592 Is the item number on eBay. The Rev counter and Speedo look dam close to a RS one.

Our Cortinas are completely different but that one does look the same indeed. I would buy that just for the perspex lens!

I’ve put a bid on it, see what happens. If not I’ll send the original for repair.

hi colr6, the speedo is the same, it's got the daycounter, with that it's easyer to see how much you can drive with a tank of gas, in holland we call them taunus, i beleave that some sierra's also got the same speedo, i can recall that i bought a few on a partsday for 5 euro apiese, for the dash, taken the speedo out, and gave back the rest, they are somewhere in my pile, i did find, the taunus dash, see pictures, they also can have the rpm counter, but look if it's for a 6 or 4 banger, it will be written on the plate, and transits mk2 also got the same speedo. if you need one, let me know, i will send one, for just the postage, cheers marcel

Are the three bulb looms for the light bulbs the same too? All the escort ones I look at have the tabs broken that bayonet into the back. If Cortina ones are the same it may be worth investigating!

do you need one ?, i can sent one with the door carts, i think the standaard dash has the same, i will have a look, cheers marcel

Hello Marcel,

is that the dash-voltageregulator just left of the flexibelprinted circuit board? Could you post a better photo of it? Am interested what's inside.

Thanks, Leon.

You think you may be able to modify one of those to replace other dash regulators?

hi, leon, they are for sale on ebay, one robber lives in australia, (sorry RP) who is asking just 150 ponds english, a german ask 30 ponds, 2 italien guys ask  about 60 ponds,

if you want one i will sent one, i think i will get another free holiday coming soon, pm you adress please, it will be free, the stabiliser is interchangeable from the cortina to an escort dash, it just fits, i think it's the square bit thats the volt regulator, someone is selling that on ebay with 3 wires, for 14 ponds, the square bit is also for sale on ebay,  for 3,90 ponds you get a set of 10, i think you could fix one to an old metal regulator. they also sell then 2 a set fot 3,50 with writting on them, on the originale on it says 7805   520k nec malaysia. that's on the one i saw on ebay, on mine it says L7805c-y    scs  88737  , on the box you get the ford number

on my cars i use the regulator which will not read a full tank of gas when its full, then i always have gas in the car, but it will say emty, and my tempmeter will stay low, if the regulator will say a full gastank, my thempmeter will be a bit under half the scale, and if my car will head up just a bit, the meter will go up rather much, you would think something is wrong, when it's not, with the ones which don't say a full tank, the tempmeter is more stable, if it go's up, it will go slowly, if the engine is getting hot, it will go fast, so it will work normale.

i will buy a few of those square bits, they cost nearly notting, i will pick them up by my sister after 14 may, i will sent a few to you leon, cheers marcel

Has to be Justo, hes legendary on this forum for his prices!

Those regulator kits may have the problem similar to that which you pointed out. While they do get the gauges to work they dont get them to work accurately. Like the correct Temperature or the Correct fuel Level. That's where I understand @Miniliteman special ones are better because they actually read correctly. My understanding though is the chips to make these are no longer available and possibly Leon is hoping these Cortina Regulators may hold the key to another accurate replacement?
