ok peoples, just had yet another e-mail from the NEC over zero ticket sales using the discount code

the tone of the last 2 e-mails, would suggest theyre very unhappy about it, and i will be very supprised if we get an offer for a stand next year, unless ticket sales buck up between now and november

so please, if your going to want tickets, please book them now, and use that discount code

Ray, when we put it out to all our members, they weren't happy about it and told us off. But when we limit it to just paid members, they aren't happy about that either. There are thousands of members on here, but the number who voluntarily subscribe is extremely small.

In short, they can't have it both ways and their show is very expensive to attend.

If the numbers are critical maybe you could offer the code to those who contribute in other ways to the site, at least for the time being just to improve our standing with the NEC?

I cant even see the cult member logo at the moment but my browser is old so it may just be me.

Its a no win situation by the looks of it for the club  , if they open the discount code up everyone who isn’t a  cult member , then people who have paid are going to think why bother in the future ( if thats a contributory factor  why they pay ) , a lot of cult members are also major contributors to the forum anyway . I can understand frustrations all round  , it will never be a satisfactory situation  whatever happens for members or admin  . It will be interesting to see  when and if  OSF doesn’t  get offered a stand at the NEC in the future  due to discounted ticket sales or not how members will react then ….. maybe they won’t be bothered 🤷🏻‍♂️…. Who knows . Just saying .

We may  get a surge of tickets Ray.

People I've talked to book last minute as they don't need to book early.

I know a lot of people think the show is expensive, but for the type of day out it is, if you get a car full, and what people are prepared to spend in a pub in an evening or at a footy match, it actually isn't that expensive. It is a whole day and a huge area all under cover and all related.to cars one way or another. If the OSF name is to live another year at this show, we really need a few supporters to use the code and get us some sales. Even if we can squuze out half a dozen tickets just to show a bit of support. As ray has already said, if you can't get to the members area pm myself or Ray for the code. Cheers people, be a massive shame if we lose the spot.
