Ethel escort Posted April 4 Report Posted April 4 Thanks for adding me, I’m into my 7th decade and still have the same passion for rear wheel drive escorts I had 55 years ago. Have a healthy mk1 van and I slightly disabled 13 gt that keep me tinkering . 3
ekjdm14 Posted April 5 Report Posted April 5 Welcome, from one newbie to another! Good to see there's still the old guard hanging in there. I'm not the one to be asking since I'm terrible at getting pics uploaded (honestly, I will try!) but would love to see the van in particular.

Hit my 7th decade this year, as long as I wake up with a pulse I consider it a bonus, and if I feel down I just start my old Xflow and even a 10 minute drive has me grinning like a happy monkey. Welcome to the Monkey house!😂 Edited April 8 by accord83 2
Miniliteman Posted April 8 Report Posted April 8 Waking up without a pulse would be quite an achievement 😮 3

Alternator light came on on my mk1 whilst out on a sunny day's drive yesterday. I put her back in the garage and shut the door on the problem. Can't be bothered either. 2 1

Im my Twincam and now lately on the MK2 even with new alternators, if the light isnt flickering I think the bulb in the instruments must have blown! LOL

LOL It wasn't flickering, it was on. All the instruments died and the wipers stopped working too.
ekjdm14 Posted Wednesday at 13:58 Report Posted Wednesday at 13:58 Sounds like a dodgy earth if ever there was one. Worth tracking down while it's still broken though, those things can "self heal" and then come back to bite you at the worst time!
