2.0 Zetec would be your easiest route for a modern engine with lots of parts available. However, I've seen some nice Cosworth BOAs and BOBs fitted to various cars and they look good. Had a passenger ride in a Sierra with a BOA fitted and it was seriously strong 😈

I'm running 153bhp through an English with ATB and standard RS2000 half shafts. This gets a hard time now and again on a Sunday morning, with no dramas anymore since fitting the ATB. Previous diff shit itself under a bit of the loud pedal.

Mk3 Mondeo ST220 going up in value lately. 2.2 ST TDCI also starting to rise. Both cars do require some tlc though, but there's plenty being broken to keep on top of them or replace worn trim. If you tuck one away now, you will see a return on them. I have a Mondeo ST as a chugger for work as the Missus uses our Tiguan as a daily when I'm away from home. In fairness it goes well and is a decent old bus. Does torque steer hard though and gearbox has a limiter on them in 1st and 2nd gear. Outside of the Ford scene, Land rover Defenders doing OK. Very easy project vehicles these, but be prepared for some work on the chassis. My current project is now a VW T5 Caravelle mod for camping and cycling. When this is finished soon, I think my next project is going to be a 70s or early 80s trail bike or enduro, which will hopefully be an investment too.

Mirror requirements The tables below summarise the number, type and standard of mirror required to be fitted to various types of vehicle. In addition, the following requirements should also be met: i) each mirror must be fixed to the vehicle in such a way that it remains steady under normal driving conditions; ii) each exterior mirror on a vehicle fitted with windows and a windscreen shall be visible to the driver, when in his driving position, through a side window or through the portion of the windscreen which is swept by the windscreen wiper; iii) where the bottom edge of an exterior mirror is less than 2m above the road surface when the vehicle is laden, that mirror shall not project more than 20cm beyond the overall width of the vehicle or, if the vehicle is drawing a trailer which is wider than drawing vehicle, more than 20cm beyond the overall width of the trailer; iv) each interior mirror shall be capable of being adjusted by the driver when in his driving position; v) except in the case of a mirror which, if knocked out of its alignment can be returned to its former position without needing to be adjusted, each exterior mirror on the driver?s side of the vehicle shall be capable of being adjusted by the driver when in his driving position. This requirement does not prevent such a mirror from being locked into position from the outside of the vehicle.
