the expressed one is a complete panel with centre re enforcer etc magnum one is an outer skin only, they used to do a full panel option as well, as that's where mine came from, however at that time the centre re enforcer wasn't centred by a good half inch, and the boot catch then dosnt work till you put that right look out for the differences on the years as well, late are shaped for the number plate to sit on, early not, and some have reversing light mount and wire holes, some don't, they charge extra for the holed ones, even though less metal lol

Hi Guys a little help needed here, last night, a good friend of mine gave me his Motorbike, he has owned the bike since new, its a 1984 Suzuki GS125, and it hasn't been on the road for just over 30 years, but 2 years ago, it had its first MOT, that I put on it, as I store it, but still it never got taxed and insured, now in that 30 years he has moved several times and long lost the log book, so I have to apply for a V5C, that's easy in itself, in the fact its just fill out a form V62, but the question I cant find an answer to is, what is the taxation class of the bike, if it was a car, the info is there, but a bike its a tad confusing not having had a bike myself for around the same sort of time, I'm not up with the tax classes on a bike does anyone have a similar sized machine that they could advise me of the taxation class please

Hi Scott re the photo bucket issue, obviously we now just have a link to them, and in my case goes to my account when signed in, but I have no way of knowing what the file name was for that image, is there an easy way of finding that out, if there is, I can start re building the resto threads I started, which I assume I can just edit each one and insert the photo, but then I need to get rid of the fotobucket link after, which again not sure how to do

RP, I would gladly send you a set of anything in exchange for those on your TC lol I was kinda hoping this thread might have thrown up some decent or some NOS to be honest all it seems to have done is create a small heated debate lol the car will be a trailer queen, no ifs or buts, it will be far better than the blue car, so it will never do anything more than on/off a transporter, and across the odd field being honest NOS ones seem to be a dream away, but its kinda looking like good condition originals are as well it was the metal ends that corroded on the originals and not hose perish, so bad that I had to cut them off the car I have the means to test the hose first, so I would be able to see what its doing under pressure done auto jumbles, but no luck so far, just he lined ones

Goodrich 600 lone is smooth hose, I'm after what looks like cotton braided ok 40 years old, but if I can find non perished all the better like the 600 line, its a centre core, then reinforcing, then an outer coating, it seems to be the outer that splits worst comes to worst, I have modern, just trying to get good original if I can certainly a trailer queen Scott, no more than a mile or two a year on and off the trailer

managed to stop the underside of the bonnet being blasted for colour comparison, as keeping the originality in the shell has had to go out of the window due to rust levels, not rot, but surface rust under good paint seam sealer, so the whole shell is now being blasted, the sprayer mixes his own, I wanted him to use acrylic, as per how ford did it, but he dosnt want to if he can get away with it, as its easier to use modern, but says he can match the pattern in every way

ok, purple shell goes into paint at the end of September, but I'm in a dilemma of what the colour really looked like in 1973, ive found the following photos on the net, they give a varying degree of depth and shine, can any of you oldies advise what would have been the closest to production whilst I like the deep shine on the crapri, I'm not sure it would suit an escort

hi Guys I'm after some original ford brake hoses for the mk1 escort, the ones that go from the strut to the body at front, and the body to axle at the rear, these look like they are cotton braided, but theyre not, its just the imprint in the rubber, and when dirty looks like it, its the ones for disc brakes and not drum any condition considered, but the better the condition the better pls look see if you have any on old struts or suspension set ups, that you may have laying around where you have modified your cars, ie have you changed to braided hoses and thrown these in a pile or to one side money waiting
