  1. well the cut off for statistics and the club earning anything from ticket sales was the 19th October, and as of that date, no one had bought tickets using the code, anything after that date is wasted as far as club and exhibitors is concerned. i hope that the final 2 weeks will see a few ticket sales using the code, in order to help secure a stand for next year, the NEC have pointed out that OSF are the only club with zero sales using the code, therefore i dont see the cost of living crisis as an excuse if im honest, anyone owning a classic isnt exactly skint in my eyes, and this is the 3rd year in a row this has happened, and in the past ive been able to share the code elsewhere among other clubs to get ticket sales, but this year i couldnt very very disapointing tbh

  18. as its stamped DGAV, then definitely it was/is a 2 litre pinto carb that originally had an auto choke, that is what the "A" stands for, and that has been removed and converted to manual choke, hence why it dosnt look like mine, and everything is 180 degrees out, as it sits on the other side with the pinto, also it has a fuel return to tank, that can be seen in your picture, whereas the 32/36 DGV that was fitted to the 1.3 and 1.6 cross flows did not for the 1600GT, you can buy brand new weber 32/36 DGV carbs, from most weber dealers, and theyre not fortunes, in fact usually cheaper than you can buy the parts to overhaul a badly worn one, dont get them confused with the ones the dealers try to convert for the 1300GT tho, dont work properly on the 1300GT, but possibly re jettable for the 1600
  19. i beg to differ, look at my pictures, that is a DGV manual choke carb for an escort, which differs quite considerably to the one in oldwheels picture, if necesary i can scan in the ipc for both the 32dgv and the 32/36dgv to show you
  20. well first and foremost, in not sure thats a 32/36 DGAV, primarily the difference between the DGV in my pictures and the DGAV is the DGAV is auto choke, so all the auto chake parts are missing, and or carb modified to manual choke, but the top houing also looks incorrect, so i cant be sure, but even if it is, the DGAV was for the 2.0 pinto RS secondly the thing that really sytands out is the manifold and carb are 180 degrees out to what they should be, look at mine compared to yours, with yours the throttle linkage sits radiator side if fitted to a crossflow, it should sit bulkhead side, on a pinto it would sit on the other side of the engine, putting it bulkhead side, and the manifold is not the correct shape for a crossflow the only way of telling a 32/32DGV 13GT carb opposed to the 32/36DGV is to remove it from the manifold and look at the bores, one is twin 32mm, and the other has one at 32mm and the other at 36mm, or look at the stampings as that will tell you, but externally they are both exactly the same sat like that the 32 primary, is too close to the head for a crossflow, it should be furthest away, but its correctly on the manifold for the throttle bracket, so im guessing that what you have in both carb and manifold, is not for a crossflow setup, and possibly a pinto carb and manifold thats been modified to manual choke, as said in my earlier post, the bracket on the pinto carb, sits 180 degrees out as well, (the missing part you were enquiring about) which would match to your pictures, a crossflow bracket will not work on that set up
  21. Guys, please dont forget to book your NEC tickets online prior to the 9th November, the discount code can be found in the old skool ford cult club house should you have any difficulty in getting in the club house, please PM me and ill sort out any issues (code) you have Thanks Ray

    Wheel dollies?

i have both the cheap hard wheeled type made by sealey, and the expensive GO-Jacks, that are sold by snap-on both ok on smooth terrain, the go jacks are slightly better on rougher surfaces as they have solid tyres and not hard nylon wheels the sealey ones, you need to jack the car up with a separate jack to fit them under wheel, however that does allow you to get the car closer to a wall and remove them the go jacks are self jacking, downside being you cant get close to a wall and remove them, or if you leeave them in place, then you do need a few more inches over the sealey ones, they also dont put up with going over their weight class too well, they bend out of shape (collapse), theres 3 weight classes, and the stand is sold separately when bought thru snap-on, and if you have a wide wheel on a light car, you need to go up a class or 2 for the wheel to fit on the rollers
  23. a club that i run on FB, we recently started a web page purely for info purposes for non FB users, nothing that the members can actually use, just something thats there for information, whilst at the moment, what we have is free, looking at what we get and what we will need in the future, just for that alone is going to start costing, so can imagine, the size of what you have here, is certainly going to start costing a lot more, probably as contracts come to an end, especially as you have an e commerce side to it as well. the odd thing is, that, having been involved in the web site set up (i know fook all about them even now) web size pictures etc, seem to be small compared to things like the camera on your phone but from that set up experience, and its ongoing growth, i hate to say it, but i still say your going to need to push the cult more to pay for it, nothing in life is free
  24. this is a std setup for the 1.3 and 1.6 GT
