  1. i got a lot of things on at the mo, so bear with me, as i got a funeral to go to tomorow, but ill get you a picture of how a 1.3 and 1.6 set up looks like as soon as i can, the photo will show a 32/32DGV carb as used on the 1300GT, the 1600GT used a 32/36, but externally you cant see the difference, your one looks lIke its possibly the earlier 32 DFE, as its top is rounded compared to the 32/32 and 32/36 DGV, and uses a different air filter housing, if it is and its twin 32/32, it may be no good for your 1600
  2. i was kinda hoping for a little more than that tbh, a picture of it sat on the manifold so we can see what manifold would help, as the 1.3 and 1.6 used one bracket and rod, while the 2 litre used what looked like the same bracket and rod but 180 degrees different, what size engine are you using it on,
  3. exactly why i asked for pictures
  4. a picture or 2 of the set up so we can see whats missing would help
  5. that diff picture is the large flange, can see that by the threads, thats usually associated with the split 2 piece prop, and uses fine thread metric small head bolts and spring washers to secure the prop, theres a place at heathrow that balances them if needed, the 2 piece as std should slot straight into a type 2 box, if your car has the centre mount bracket, then thats your simplest and cheapest option, as the props can be found at places like GS or escort tec, if you dont have the mount bracket, these can normally also be sourced, as its the one part magnum dont fit to their new floors, iirc, it also houses the nuts for the seat belt stalks the mexico used a smaller flange on the diff, this uses nuts and bolts, not just bolts to mount the diff, and uses a sigle piece prop but the gearboxes differ, so i would think possibly the front end where it goes into the box may differ by keeping it a std 2 piece, it will keep your costs down, as a std single piece prop wont mount to that diff without either alteration to the prop, or changing the flange on the diff, and the gearbox end would also still be an unknown area till you have a prop to try
  6. clearly by the bidding, theyre worth every penny, good to see Colin @colr6 finally getting that wallet out, which is just as rare a sight as the caps themselves
  7. i got a mk1 escort 2 dial clock set, if its any good for what you want, if it is then yours for the price of the post i will leave you to take it apart and take it out, that way it wont get postal damage and i wont kill it trying to remove it let me know if you want it or not
  8. there are multiple shades of diamond white from over the years, but, diamond white is a creamy off white (dirty white if you like), the one thing its not is a bright white, i doubt any rattle can off the shelf will look right, it was used from the early 70s right thru to around 2006, to my limited knowledge, i had 2 mk6 transits a 2003 and 2005, both different shades of it, and a friend has a diamond white mk1 escort, again its a different shade, and no touch up paint looks right, from late 2006 the transit went to Frozen white, which is not creamy, could be worth a try, dont expect anything from halfords to match anything, you might as well be picking up black for all iits worth on a later mk1 escort, the paint code, usually a single letter or number, is followed by a number, this is the designed sales year, and makes a difference to the shade, so 14 is miami blue 74, but 15 is miami blue 75, early 73 mk1 purple is just F, but post march it F3, then F4, not sure how the fiesta was coded tho Then you have the other problem when matching paint, older cars used a different paint type, ford were using acrylic and cellulose in the 70s and 80s, today its water based with laquer, and paints are difficult to colour match, especially metalic, you can get the old paints made up in small qtys in specialist places if you want it right, youll need to take the car or a painted part to someone who can mix it up exactly for you, but if its a very bright white and the plate says diamond, i suspect its probably been re sprayed at some stage, and no longer diamond white
  9. it was just a coincidence and a shot in the dark sadly

  16. so what is the cult of old skool ford, i seems that to most of you, the answer is either unknown, or dont want to know the cult of old skool ford, is basically where your paying for your membership, for just a measly sum of £12 a year, it helps pay for the running of the forum, as well as events and the public liability insurance required for those events, and you do get va few enhanced features for it as well whilst this is something that Scott (aka Vista) does on a voluntary basis, if theres not enough subscriptions come in, then theres not enough to pay for everything, that includes this forum and its hosting to be on the net theres only so long something can go on without funding, before it has to close, and at only 47 paid members, i doubt that even covers the liability insurance, let alone all the other costs to running this site, so clearly Scott is putting his hands in his own pockets to give you all something its easy to tell from the logins how many unpaid daily users this site has, and imho, thats an abysmall take up, and abuse of Scotts goodwill so come on peoples, lets see you put your hands in those pockets, £12 a year is nothing compared to what you spend on your cars and the help and info you get here is priceless

Hi Scott, i know the contributor side is abysmal, and those who use it without contributing should be ashamed of themselves tbh, but that's why i worded it in the way that i did, so as to pm me if the 15750 non contributors couldn't get in the cult house, and ill pm the code, as being an open forum, it cant be advertised on here either, and i have to be careful how thats said, as they google search, as i found out a couple of years back, but that uptake was absolutely zero, so unless that was mis understood, i dont understand, that no one would want to go and take advantage of the discount, but i didnt even get a response to asking what the problems were, i do accept that a percentage of members will also be members of other clubs, and may have bought tickets via those clubs, but with the amount of people that log in here daily, a zero uptake is still abysmal the NEC, give clubs the stand space foc, then assess the ticket sales of each stand, this has been like that for the last few years, then that goes towards the viability of giving you a stand the following year, hence why i keep trying to push sales of tickets, last year i managed to get the ticket sales up from another means, i dont have that luxury this year, the NEC on average have over 40 clubs they have to refuse space to each year, as they dont have the room for them, so at zero ticket sales each year, it runs the risk of loosing astand space, which would be a sad shame and great loss, as its a fantastic show to both do and visit

all the 6 men who have cars on the 1300E stand opposite, all have 3 new E club lodo'd polo shirts, one for each day, donated and paid for by the club owner, which is fantastic as the club is a totally free membership, wouldt it be good to see old skool ford do the same for the 5 displaying their cars (hint hint) lol, they would all look the part in black logo'd tops

guys and gals, im going to keep reminding, the NEC is geting close now, less than 3 months away, and as we all get older the time goes faster this year ive updated the gazebo, for a really nice 3x2 one, slightly smaller, but allows another car on the stand, and ive got some new chairs, these are only camping chairs, but hopefully itll stop the tramps from getting too comfy, but makes transportation easier we have 5 nice cars on the stand, and we now have 6 nice mk1 escorts on the stand opposite, and Nick Heers mk1 on the AVO stand across the hall so please uase the discount code in the old skool ford cult house to book those discounted tickets if you cant get in, then pm me pics of the chairs below
