  3. i removed a junky repro oil pressure pipe from a crossflow recently, and because the pipe had modern fittings, it had been supplied with specially made adaptors both ends to mate it to the original block and clocks, but in usual repro crap style, the dash had to be ground out to fit it cant beat the original parts

  12. ok guys and gals, Old Skool Ford has had a stand offer for the NEC, which has been accepted, although the contract dosnt get sent till August so ive a little planning to do, but this year the NEC have relaxed the rules slightly on the use of the discount code for members ordering tickets. at the bottom of this post youll see a poster with the discount code in the bottom right hand corner, please feel free to order as many tickets as you wish with it, this post will also automatically go to old skool fords Retards Club and twitter pages, so youll be able to see it there as well but please do not share or copy it onto any other club or page that has nothing to do with old skool ford, as thats against the rules, and they reserve the right to remove the code and its priveledges i will be updating about whats happening as and when that all gets organised by me details as follows Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show Friday 8 - Sunday 10 November 2024 NEC Birmingham Book tickets at www.necclassicmotorshow.com Quote our club code CCCNOV325 and save £4 off single-day adult tickets or £2 off family, child or multi-day tickets. 13. unfortunately not, the mk2 van/estate door lock should use the same bigger key that the ignition uses
  14. mk1, the later doors and boot are keyed the same using an FV key, an FT key is the same but shorter, whilst you can easily mess around with theese and re do them to suit one key, firstly youll probably need a good few spare locks to get the correct fingers, but they can also prove to be a tad sticky if the alloy casing is worn, as this wears along with the fingers, but its do able, ive done a good few sets, the ignition barrel, new column barrels with the correct 3 lions keys are available on e bay for under a hundred quid and well worth the money, there were 3 barrel manufacturers and not all put the key number on the barrell, working from memory now, look at the 0 position on the lock, and opposite it, is where youll drill your hole approximately 15mm in from the casing edge, a 1.5 to 2mm hole is enough, push in the hole with a small pick, to push the spring in, then the barrel should pull out, use a new barrel for precice dims rather than my old fading memory the door locks are not handed, however if you have mk2 van/estate locks in a mk1, they are a bigger diameter, so whilst you can file the hole to accept the mk2 lock, going back isnt so easy, as the hole is too big, some mk1s have been fitted with the mk2 van and estate doors and or skins during resto, and mk2 locks fitted, ive just finished off a car for someone that has this scenario, with this situation, a good locksmith can key the door locks to be the same as the ignition, but not the boot
  15. There are 2 types of that shape bottle, one with filler hole in the centre, and one with at the end nearer the centre of the car, the one in the middle of the bottle is the later one and the one that motomobil have copied, the other is the rarer one of the two, they both have to be clean and leak free to get good money, clean meaning not yellow and off colour, they can hold water fine sat on the kitchen sink, till you put them on the bracket, when it then opens up the split, so test on the car, the water weight alone can split them, the splitting is common, hence why NOS ones now fetch strong money, ive seen a NOS one burst overnight with the weight of the thing full of water
  16. the size of the show, its tiny compared to november
  17. tbh, we do the NEC every november, but went to the march one last year, and didnt consider it worth the diesel getting there, even after getting free entry tickets, its tiny compared to the november show, and we went round it in a few hours they should just amalgamate it into one show instead of two, everything in there is also at the november show
