yesterday was a long day. Got out of bed 4:30 am leaving 5:30 for a 330km trip to collect the car. First time i saw the car up close.
The first owner ( car was from an old man ) must have been doing his best to keep it rolling, but not so well done. But for its age
of 54 years, still in good nick. A few spareparts in a box and 2 wheels.
As we got home, got the car of the trailer, the real first challenge began. As i could not find storage for the car, it had to stay near my
garage at the back on a rather dirty erea, where youth hang out sometimes. No good feeling about it, and it sat for some time in the
open. No good!
I decided to put it in my garden, but had to break trough a wall and cut 2 feet wider into my garden. So i got to work till late evening, welding
a temporarly frame to bridge the gap between gate and cutout. Along came my neigbour, interested what i had bought.
And now the happiness comes; i told him what i was going to do, and he offered to put the car in his garage for some weeks, so i could
make a decent entrance with new gate to my backyard. That was the most pleasant moment of the day.
a message to all: helping each other, is of great value. As i see that everybody lives for their own uninterested to have a nice community.
Still their a good people left, and my neihgbour can count on my help for sure. It means a lot to me.
have a nice sunday
