  1. Welkome ( mede Nederlander😉) . We had Fords all kinds in our Family. Did have a Taunus 20M and many more , 12M 15M ect from the late 1950 on. 70 year old story
  2. tomorrow i get a helping hand from my neighbor. so we may finish the job making the floor at my attic in half the time. But me been taking it easy yes, but took it to easy to many times LoL 😄🎶 Ohh well
  3. Me too. Been here for years, but not posted much.
  4. So as you wrote, it then would handle my 175 cu" Esslinger Ford with no worries. I knew about the so called "baby Atlas" Ford Capri rearaxle. Or maybe a type of Volvo 240 ( or 244 ) wich is strong. Kind of like a Dana 44. Question is, what sort of investment to be needed. Anyway, if this lil' English axle holds up to that , with of course in lightweight car, i am impressed.
  5. What kind of rear axle is used? If this is the lttle Escort englisch or German rearaxle, i doubt they can't handle over 180 HP and 200 LB torque Or am i wrong?
  6. The car with this setup and color almost looks like that Cosworth Anglia from John(?) Tebenham back in the days, wich had about 350 bhp. It was in a magazine called "maxpower"
  7. @ JohnnyBoy. It was probably to fast writing my answer. I just noticed now. Hardly to understand?
  8. Who is not if you have to make money to sustain, take care your own living? Indeed slowly keeping on. Not losing interrest of course.
  9. I was away also for some time. Everybody has its going to do besides hobby on classic Fords.
  10. I did not shoot my pcp guns for a while, i did not played guitar for a longer while, i did not cycling as much as i used to. Now its work in my house, collecting parts for my car, and being a bit lazy last few months. I am getting tired after 42 years of labour, Wanting too much to many. Making choices in life is hard for me.
  11. my mistake sorry yes, mixed it up by the two engines. But i did not mention anything on fuelpressure, just asked if this carb was out of the box and put on engine.
  12. aint no better sound on a 4 banger on carbs or throttle bodies, or better yet a healthy V8 on big carbs. Two days ago me helping out on a 496 stroker Chevy with old style tunnelram and vintage Holley race carburettors for a Gasser dragrace 55 Chevy. Ran it on test mulebench at the door only on headers with friend the engine builder Johnny. AWESOME i tell ya. No lamborgini or ferrari can match this for my taste.
  13. wow, goin to Finland. What made you move from UK to Finland if i may ask.
  14. On this information you provided it is almost not possible to give any good answer. Inlet/axhaust valve setting is way off at 0.015 and both not the same at all. 0,010 exhaust and 0.08 on inlet even with fast road or rally cam. It is as i read, guessing due to your carburettor change mostly. Out of the box installment?
  15. The old Ford Taunus Transit, rare but nice indeed. The later model 1966 also, wich i like, There was a modified "supervan" with a V8 in the back. 1971? And in Germany too.
  16. 180,000 Grand! Starting Price! 😄 One grand is a 1000 bucks right? go figure haha. A typo what it is. More like 18 Grand. But anyway Prices gone skyhigh.. for classic cars. My Escort mk2 four door going unrestored for over 4000 € here in The Netherlands
  17. Modern Ford Mustang not for me. The classic ones like from 1967 there about, anytime. ( if i had the money )
  18. I have Nankang 185/60/13 road tires on my Ford Fiesta mk2. Good tire for that kind of money i'd say.
  19. If i am correct, its a south African Ford Sierra block named AX at 1800 cc
  20. Aint no Tesla or any other electric Vehicle for me. Everbodies own taste.
  21. i found some pictures from years ago. Still in storage this car. I wonder when go back on building it
