Doesn't do it for me I'm afraid, but that German bird driving the transit around the Nubergring(spelling?) in Top Gear, now she could definitely butter my toast in the morning!

White Camaro in Vanishing Point!!!!! Wash your mouth out mate!! No Chevy sh*t....that was one of Mother Mopars finest......a hemi Dodge Challenger! Be fair I couldn't even remember the name of the film at first!!! However I shall take my punishment like a man, and have ordered the taxi! By the way, on films...what about the E-Type hearse conversion in "Harold and Maude"....loved it, but the heathens launched it over a cliff eventually!

but it'd be so fun to park up at collage next year! I'm with Posse on this one...WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!! But you are young enough to redeem yourself!! -
Hope that guy gets the show off the ground (if you'll pardon the pun) would be a proper send off for the place....I heard it had been derelict for years. They took a MK2 there for a photo shoot in Classic Ford a few years back as I recall. Check out the following films as well young fella...all classic films and great for petrol heads; Robbery (Directed by the bloke who went on to do Bullit) Hell Drivers (See if you can spot the young Sid James and even younger Sean Connery) Two lane Blacktop. And the one with the bloke in the white Camaro that he has got to deliver in double quick time, naked chick on a motor bike and blind DJ...what's it pigging called??..Aaaah Alazheimers has kicked in again..not Vanishing point is it..nah.....oh bu**er! And the Gumball rally of course!

Ah, now hold on one onion picking moment Monsieur!! What about the Citroen SM? There were two at the Ace last Tuesday night, and they were sexy with a capital YES BOY!! And the interiors were stunning...IMHO

Just saved the green one to my picture gallery (hope you don't sue over copyright ) Personally I would like you to add a black roof and black 4-spoke revolution wheels, ditch the bumpers and add two front and one rear spotlight....mainly because this is what I am thinking of doing to my spruce green baby, and want to see what it will look like !

There is never going to be a definitive list cos one mans heaven etc.... Personally I don't like convertible sports cars. Give me a fixed head E-Type any day, but the convertible just doesn't float my boat at all! All this is somewhat ironic given my desire for a TR6, but I will only have one with a hard top permanently affixed to it. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

I challenge any dad to deny blubbing the first time he got called "daddy" (by his off-spring that is, any other situations are for a completely different forum!) My best moment was when my Daughter (now 15 going on 35!!!) was about six. She asked me how old I would be when she was ten, then when she was twenty etc...eventually she got to 50 and I said I would probably be dead by then and she burts into tears.....followed soon after by her Dad.........I'm filling up thinking about it. She's set off for her first day of work experience today, and I was so proud!! Better go before I am drowned in barf juice!!

I've been watching re-runs of the Professionals on tv lately, and am beginning to realise how much I like the later Capris..and that one is very nice mate. I don't remember seeing many (if any) in that colour before but it sets the car off nicely! Good luck with her!

Buy it a highly tuned/rally prepped TR6 to keep it company, oh and a black 67 Buick Riviera to complete the holy trinity!
-
Even I, who aspires to ownership of a Renault 4 and a Marina wouldn't give a Multipla garage space...that's how kin hideous it is!!! Didn't it win "Car of th Year" when it was launched....mind you voting for that award is almost as bent as the voting in Eurovision!
-
Numbers 19,20, 28,36 and 39 wouldn't get kicked out of my dream garage! Nor would no 31 for that matter whcih, believe it or not, is on my wish list of cars to have before I pop my clogs! Don't ask me why, ..after all an Austin Allegro estate and Morris Marina are on the same list!!! Why no TR6 in the top 50 ???...where do I vote?

Not my particualr cup of rosey, but I admire the work.

The jokes are out there already... Barrymore was asked if he would be doing panto this year and he replied "No chance, I did aladin six years ago and have never heard the effing last of it" TAXIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !

I was about to go into an old git rant about cr*p music etc, but I am trying to mellow out these days, and as Dave Waudby sais..it's your car matey so whatever floats your boat (if that isn't mixing my toasties).

You lucky lucky lucky....b.....d! I left 30 years ago this summer...and boy does the bathroom mirror let me know it every morning! Right..old fart mode here.....I have a mate who is early 4os and kin loaded....usually has a Porker or Aston or some such thing. Anyway he said to me quite recently that he was sat at lighhts in the Aston and some teenage herberts pulled up next to him in a nova or some such shite..they were looking at his Aston with envy but all he could think of was how lucky they were to be 18/19 and that he would swap places with them at the drop opf a hat! The point is young fella...youth..the one thing money can't buy.....so don't 'kin waste it ok!! Here endeth the lesson!

Nearly just broke my neck and a WARNING...
Osgood Isgood replied to X-pack-Glyn's topic in CHIT CHAT
Sorry mate but that is funny!!! 33 eh.....well I'm 46 and still no more grown up than you.....keep it up mate, because the time will come when simply getting out of the fooking chair will be an achievement! -
remember watching this circa 1970/75?????? I have never found another single person that remembers it, except for Tom Hanks who refers to it when on stake out with Hooch in turner and hooch! It was brilliant...imagine the PG tips adverts but a full half an hour detective show!
-
Are we only talking Fords...if not he could do worse than an early Scirocco. OK it's not a GT40 but they still move quite rapidly, and have that inherent German build quality as well.

About three months ago some bird had managed to park her smart sports car on the metal barrier on the elevated roundabout at J8/9 of the M4. you know where the barrier slopes down to the ground at the start, well somehow she had got both her offside wheels up onto the barrier and was parked at 45degrees to the ground!! I saw it and still don't believe it!!

Apparently it's every two months, on second tuesday of the month..I think! It was my first trip there so not 100% sure. Good turn out of about ten cars, and seem quite a friendly bunch as well. Club caters for all Anglias whether stock or modified so quite a cross section of motors. I will try and remember to post a reminder about a week before the next one!
