ZetecVan 2.0 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 Just coming back from seeing Flash Cadillacs Capri, and was waiting at the lights. This Audi A3 comes tearing up braking at the last moment and stopping next to me with the front wheels over the white line. Two guys in it in their late twenties kept looking at the van and laughing. They kept revving the engine.. creeping forward until they were almost totally over the line. They were in a rush to go somewhere obviously. I just sat there smiling at them. I didn't touch my throttle. Lights changed. I floored it. They floored it. Oh look. They're behind me. They won't laugh at my van again in a hurry.
marky4 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 nice one bet they felt like a pair of t#ts

Admin Vista Posted January 5, 2008 Admin Report Posted January 5, 2008 Burning off someone who expects to beat you easily has to be one of the best feelings in the world. Especially if there's another set of lights 300 metres on so you get the oportunity to look smugly at them when they eventually pull up beside you Well done for teaching them the order of things
FlashCadillac Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 man i wish i was there to see that but good one anyway

bmxdave Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 I did it today to a civic. They didnt even look at me and i was sitting there silently as their mate turns up in his saxo. They both go screaming off so i give them a few car lengths then floor it. had them both quite happily hen at the next set of lights they where hanging out of their windows shouting 'what the fook is in that mate?' I was well pleased.

bmxdave Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 I said its a 1.2 sidevalve with a 3 speed gearbox and they just looked confused. I think its because they didnt know what i was talking about Then the lights turned green and they didnt go speeding off this time. hehe.

DarrenM Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Had a bloke on a motorbike squeeze between my Capri and the other car next to me at the lights, it was so tight he had to lean the bike to avoid my mirror just so he could be 1st off the lights. He was revving up and leaned over the tank for a fast get away, he had me for a cars length but i had the cheeky fooker! Funny how many people stopped and watched us go!
Mick The Cabbie Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Wonder what'd happen if another blue Anglia van pulled along side at the lights...?
