Twinkle Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 looks to me like they have grafted on a roof off of an austin princess
BIGKEV Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 My dad always wanted a Jag estate lol - pic sent to him then ....
Pipster007 Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I have seen one of those along with an XJ6 and Rolls Royce Silver Shadow Estate once before many yrs ago
Slik 50 Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 I couldnt imagine loading a wet smelly dog into the back of the ferrari after a long walk by river or loading it up to go to the tip! could you imagine walking into your local ferrari dealership with your wife and saying to the salesman " that ferrari 456 you have in the corner does it come in an estate version ?" I mean what possible reason is there for a ferrari estate ? but apparently it was an actual production model of 7 cars, designed by pinnin ferina
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Wow, Haven't seen one of those on the road before, that is a very rare car. As said, it is a Jaguar XJS Estate, but it wasn't converted by Jaguar themselves, it was done by a firm called Lynx! Lynx have been modifying XJS' since 1976, and this particular one they started in 1982, and called the "Eventer Estate" They ran quite late into XJS production, the last being around M reg!!! By the way, the second picture is where I broke down in my Orion when I used to own it!
Mr Sam Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 strangely really like that, post the pics up on retro rides, they should love it
