oldbus Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 they are nice wheels, what are they called? Haven´t the foggiest mate, i´ll see if there´s a name on them somewhere...
pauln Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 I've got these multifits. My excuse is I wanted to try 15" rims and they only cost £40. Want RFXs when I can afford them.
DanV Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Motorsport style, that looks good! I think its hard to find modern wheels that match the lines of old skool cars.
petrolhead01 Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 cue RATMAN!!! I was young still my fave, they did look the tits!!!!
morcheen Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 got no pics but i put some 13" pug steels on the mk2 esc est today, because they all had good 175/70's tyres and cost £40 for 4 the original minstral rims centre cap even fitted on them they have '97 stamped on them.
vibrating_Cake Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 in order of size 14" x6j (i think) ford dogs legs. 15"x6j 205 gti wheels love that pic! 16"x7.5j oz superterismos
surfingturnip Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 if they actually made them in a pcd that'd fit fords I'd have suggested watanabe's. they basically look a bit like minilites but are about 18" and have uber dish
Retro-gone. Posted October 23, 2008 Author Report Posted October 23, 2008 turnip you know far too much about wheels for a pup your age
oldbus Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 they are nice wheels, what are they called? Dug those wheels out of the cellar last night but theres no name on them...so answers on a postcard to...........
hotrodholty Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 go for the 17's and drop it on the floor mate, 15's in that style i think will look too small with low pro's on.
Retro-gone. Posted October 24, 2008 Author Report Posted October 24, 2008 nice wheels but you really ought to try keep em on the tarmac mate.
brettp Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 that was 2001 its nearly finished with better wheels
smifee Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Has any one considered wheels from the vw scene ATS cups or ronal turbo's would suit the classic come modern look just a thought
hotrodholty Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Has any one considered wheels from the vw scene ATS cups or ronal turbo's would suit the classic come modern look just a thought iv looked into these but you cant seem to get the right stud patern aswell as them nearly all being fxd the offset's are well off
285Andy Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 final product wont have these wheels on but they do suit it
surfingturnip Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 Has any one considered wheels from the vw scene ATS cups or ronal turbo's would suit the classic come modern look just a thought most of the stuff thats big in the dub scene is only available in a 4x100 pcd, ie for v dubs and certain audis I believe, trust me I've looked. Its worth checking ebay and ebay.de from time to time though as they do occasionally crop up in a ford pcd
Retro-gone. Posted October 26, 2008 Author Report Posted October 26, 2008 was told today that fitting bigger wheels will lose me some acceleration?? cant be that much surely?
evil knievel Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 you wont even notice! because the wheel has a larger diametre it has further to turn before it makes a full rotation. that is all. it only really matter in cars were every milisecond counts on say, a lap time. as they are wider you will get more grip as you have more contact on the ground, and this means a faster pull away. so its up to debate really...
zetecmk2 Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 mine want 16" splits, but these will do for now.
