my first car i payed £150 for it but the bloke had it advertised for £400 the fooker was smoking like fook on the way home but it made it ......after 5 engine changes(me and my leadfoot) it finally gave up the ghost when i went over a speed hump and the engine literally fell out on the floor so me and my mate picked the engine up off of the road put it in the boot and took it streight to the scrappers i cant think of a more fitting end to the life of a french car

1st road legal motor with a driving licence was a bedford cf series 1

then i had a mk2 cortina estate 1.6 called gilbert and when i took it on the M2 i got to snodland and the bonnet came up over the screen and i ended up on my roof on the other carriage way, after that i went on to bikes for a few years

My first car was a Mk2 Capri 1.6 JPS Special on a 'P' reg I think. Never got to drive it on the road as I got it in 1985 which was 2 years before I passed my test in 1987.

My first vehicle was 1951 Fordson van 5cwt, it did 20 miles to a pint of oil! had a tube from the oil filler to underneath to let the smoke out! 55mph flat out! learnt to drive on it, (took the test in a 1200 super Anglia, 545 fwn, passed first time) bought the van for £10, sold it to a mate for £5, bought a sit up and beg pop after that, for £2 sold it for £30, etc etc...
