dyt397c Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 last night, on my way home from a dart match, i was approached by 3 blokes and before i knew it, i`d been punched in the face!! nothing said, no provocation, nothing!! as quick as i got hit, the bloke who hit me was out cold, followed by another, before he had time to hit me. the 3rd bloke started to run off so i gave chase. luckily for me he slipped over and i got hold of him!! all i can say is, i hope he`s got dental insurance!! i`ve got a black eye and cut lip but they came off a lot worse(they should think twice, if theres a next time, not to pick on someone who`s 15stone and trains in 2 martial arts!!) all this happened at about 10pm too!! whats the world coming to? BA$TARDS!!!!!

dyt397c Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 i dont think they`ll get the police involved. i think they might be a bit embarressed saying that the 3 of them got a good hiding off 1 bloke!! and as for coming back with more, i`m laying low for a bit, at least til my eye heals up, just in case i get recognised!!

But on the plus side well done! self defence Technically in admitting that he is trained in 2 martial arts he is 'trained' to fight. Therefore it should be carried out with minimal force. If they can produce a serious enough injury then they can sue for ABH or GBH. I know a boxer who got set on by three people and he ended up breaking one persons arm, cheakbone and nose on the second and the third legged it. He was sued for GHB/ABH as the judge said he was a trained fighter and as such knew what he was doing. There is a fine line between self defence and assault. But good idea to lie low a bit! and maybe change your route home over the next few days

dyt397c Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 Good to know the training works isnt it I do Shotokan Karate me too!! i only train cos of reasons like this!! i just dont feel safe anymore. i live in a bit of a crappy area but been here 5 years and this is the 1st time this sort of thing has happened! i would normally walk/run away, but when theres 3 twats against 1, it was either me or them. and it wernt going to be me!!

Similar thing happened to me with my boss and his mate, he came off worse and the police turned up arrested me and charged me with ABH. I lost my job and a year out of my life going back and forwards to court only to end up being found to be acting in self defence. It's coming to something when you have to think wether it's worth protecting yourself anymore...

They were probably looking for trouble (these people should be culled) buts its probably a good thing they found you as it could have easily been someone older, younger or someone who would have come off a lot worse than you did. you did a good thing for the comunity there, good on you!

Dont get me wrong, being honest i would have done the same thing in the same situation if i could have. But unfortunately the consequences could be seriously against you if you do. Next time the person might not be so lucky
