RFChris Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 VAUXHALL!!! So....the Beemer was a dog. Fooked brakes, no speedo, dodgy immobiliser and it leaked fuel. Moral? Old, once expensive cars that are now cheap are cheap for a sodding reason! Still.... Bought for £1500 Sold for......with al the above faults described.....£1900! Whoo! So, what did i buy instead? Well...i put my sensible hat on and (mainly to please BIGKEV) bought an estate. Not just any estate though. Oh no. That'll be a 2001 2.6 V6 SRi estate. And god damn, it mint. Bought from a dealer too, so all is good. I'm really happy with it. My parents have one and its never let them down. Not bad for £1990 :D:D:D:D:D:D
antz Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 not bad!!!...bit gay though good deal though! and if it goes wron you can take it back and they should fix it for ya!

RFChris Posted December 16, 2006 Author Report Posted December 16, 2006 Put over 150 miles on it today.....its a cracking motor. Spoke to South west tyres today about lowering it and putting some decent alloys on there. Should look smart in the new year! Chris
Smudger105e Posted December 16, 2006 Report Posted December 16, 2006 you didn't take our advice then....
RFChris Posted December 16, 2006 Author Report Posted December 16, 2006 you didn't take our advice then.... I like Passats, but they are like the Beemer. The £2k and below ones are priced like that for a reason. I looked at 3 qnd they were all....and i do mean ALL....dogs. Besides, the vauxhalls i have had in the past havn't let me down. Neither has my parents estate (with a much harder life) so all is good now. It the nicest thing i've had in a long time! Chris
