Got into cars at about 17-18. When I was 20 i got a mk3 2.0 16v gti golf that needed some work (mostly interior and basic stuff) . When I was 6 the old man got a new mk3 Zephyr 6 in bottle green, then he had a mk1 Lotus Cortina for a short time, later in 1968 he got a Corsair 2000 and decided he was £500 under budget (he was Operations Manager for Fina petrol) so sent in to the workshops for the apprentices to 'play with', It came back lowered on Lotus rims and went like a cut cat, (£500 went a long way on parts in 68!) Me and my dad were looking for a 1st car for me, to start with i was on about getting something like an Opel Kadet (becuase of Richard Hammonds) but then we couldnt find any in the shape i wanted.

had a couple of everyday cars like a rover and mondeo, then after a go in a supra a bought one of those, sold that, and had a bmw 325i e30. Realised that RWD is the way to go.
