SmokeEm Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 For the love of god, what was he thinking!
irishtorag Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 if he wants a Toyota buy a feckin Toyota and leave fords with the badge they were born with lol
JP. Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 Back to the eighties, A bodykit from a German company. Steppan SSC3 Ford Capri body kit. Did cost about 2400 quit in the eighties. That includes the 6pod headlights. There are still a few around...
Danish Posted February 8, 2015 Report Posted February 8, 2015 Mad Chav, the Essex Road Warrior! Bet there's just a humble 1.6 Pinto under that bonnet! I used to know the guy with this car, and it had a Rover V8. The paint was done by students at a technical college for a charity run. It was on ebay a few months ago though without the V8 and looking very sorry for itself. I nearly bid
Admin Vista Posted February 8, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted February 8, 2015 Well I'm glad I was wrong on the 1.6 Pinto bit anyway!
mk2 mike Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Did a Google search. Capri's seem to be popular for err 'modifying' And a fiesta
mk2 mike Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Might well get blasted for this but I really like the whale tail on a Capri. T'Was the fashion when I started driving. Reminds me of that time. I actually like the fiestas too (I know it's a mk2)
Admin Vista Posted February 9, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted February 9, 2015 Don't mind the whale tale look myself but otherwise, they're good ones Mike. Those 80's kits like JP and you have posted may have been the thing to have in their day but look pretty tasteless now. Hindsight eh?
SmokeEm Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 I would happily drive that black Capri 2
Admin Vista Posted February 9, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted February 9, 2015 I would happily drive that black Capri With or without the snow plough?

Those 80's kits like JP and you have posted may have been the thing to have in their day but look pretty tasteless now. Hindsight eh? I can remember all of the car mags I read in the early 90s had double page ads for bodykits. Dimma, reiger, and Richard grant who did loads of x pack stuff for fords.
SmokeEm Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 With or without the snow plough? Admittedly, that is a tad extreme so I'd wear an OSF hoody until I had changed it with something a little more subtle
Admin Vista Posted February 9, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted February 9, 2015 Admittedly, that is a tad extreme so I'd wear an OSF hoody until I had changed it with something a little more subtle I think I'd have to wear it back to front with eye holes cut in the hood so people wouldn't recognise me. The RGA kits I think are quite subtle and look ok but others? Not so much 1
dalmarshall Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Err...they're not capri ' s mike, there's an Aston an a nice testarossa convertible in them pics .........
mk2 mike Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Oh yeah. Sorry Dal actually looking at it, I think that 'Aston' is really a 1.6 Peugeot 205gti looking at them wheels.
classicwhitey Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 liking the black capri, the front splitter needs plaining off a bit but looks nice other wise. nice subtle bonnet mod
Admin Vista Posted February 9, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted February 9, 2015 That white and blue mk3 Capri you posted pics of Mike (reminder below) did you clock these bad boys on the rear shelf? 1
mk1del Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Following on have look on eBay two on today mk2 zodiac with Capri roof and a 105e that looks like a trabant on steroids
HotRodMatt Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I've always thought that Zody looked quite smart, I hope that Anglia is tunning Cossie 4x4 gear! 1
