I suspect that if driven hard there might be a bit of road, hedge, road, hedge, road.......... until stop, sudden or otherwise, action.

I can forgive (almost, I exclude that monster Escort of Andy Saunders from this) all of the 70's custom cars as they were a product of their time. It's the nasty modern jobs that someone must have thought looked good that I can't understand. The red mk3 and yellow mk5 in Mike's post above for instance.
