Tackleberry Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 So, in moments of boredom, what do you watch...? At the moment, I'm enjoying watching Billy big spuds BMW drivers binning their cars at the Nurburgring on public days...thinking their Halfords built cars will handle like Lewis Hamilton's F1 car..!! There's loads of amusing footage and I'm not getting bored of it yet...There's also some motorcycle "opps" for those that dislike 2 wheels...and of course, Daddy's Porsche getting railed... Over to you fine people.
Admin Vista Posted August 19, 2016 Admin Report Posted August 19, 2016 Only really use YouTube for music and, occasionally, instructional video clips. Fixed our microwave with a fault finding guide off there recently.
accord83 Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 Just use it for Northern Soul tracks like a jukebox.
katana Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 CNC machining - love watching big hunks of metal become precision made smaller pieces of metal!
aardvark101 Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 Roadkill FTW, Finnigan & Frieburger bodgeing their way to glory 1

deltamal Posted August 19, 2016 Report Posted August 19, 2016 The last thing that I watched was box section tube bending and forming machines, new work project to sort out!
Herr Doktor Posted August 20, 2016 Report Posted August 20, 2016 I'll start out with good intentions. Watching a review of a piece of kit I'm considering buying, Watching an instructioanl video to fix a problem I may have. Sooner or later however, I end up looking at trash; Bear attacks goat, Tiger versus Badger, Killer pig etc etc...
Tackleberry Posted August 20, 2016 Author Report Posted August 20, 2016 I also enjoy watching stuff being destroyed in slow motion by a hoofing great hydraulic press...something satisfying about watching marbles shattering. 1
Confused Posted August 24, 2016 Report Posted August 24, 2016 I have YouTube on almost constantly - I work from home, and have 3 monitors, and find that YouTube is a great "background" noise, and gives me something to divert my attention to for a few seconds when I need a mini break to think about what I'm working on. A great number of problems have been resolved when my mind is "switched off". It's similar to going to make a coffee, but without the walking, and the caffeine addiction! I mostly watch gaming videos - Minecraft (a few guys from the Hermitcraft series), Cities: Skylines, and other games like Prison Architect, Rimworld, where you need to build stuff up. I've been gaming since I was a youngster, but I don't get time to actually play the games myself nowadays, so watching YouTube gives me my gaming fix!
Danish Posted August 24, 2016 Report Posted August 24, 2016 1980s pop videos mostly, and other people playing piano pieces I'm trying to figure out.
SmokeEm Posted August 24, 2016 Report Posted August 24, 2016 Drag racing, more drag racing and then more drag racing. Possibly a bit of Clash of Clan research in between.. Oh and Drag Racing lol
deltamal Posted August 24, 2016 Report Posted August 24, 2016 I also enjoy watching stuff being destroyed in slow motion by a hoofing great hydraulic press...something satisfying about watching marbles shattering. I've got a 500 ton press, it certainly squashes things if it's set wrongly!
colr6 Posted August 24, 2016 Report Posted August 24, 2016 I've got a 500 ton press, it certainly squashes things if it's set wrongly! id love one of those !!! Will it get rid astras and novas with silly exhaust systems ? Will it take the boom out of a boom box ?
accord83 Posted August 25, 2016 Report Posted August 25, 2016 id love one of those !!! Will it get rid astras and novas with silly exhaust systems ? Will it take the boom out of a boom box ? I believe a sharp pencil, if jabbed correctly, will take the boom out of a boom box and turn it into a fuzz box, which could be another, more polite, name for the owner of the boom box. failing that a Bic fag lighter is also effective (allegedly) 1
colr6 Posted August 25, 2016 Report Posted August 25, 2016 failing that a Bic fag lighter is also effective (allegedly) Is this just for the boom box or will it get rid of the whole thing in one go ......inc muppet behind the wheel ?? 1

luckyjim Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I enjoy watching "The smoking tire one takes" where matt Farrah takes various modified cars for a blast round the canyon roads because of the variety of cars and his presenting style. I am also hooked on "project binky" by bad obsession motorsports( and...make the noise...lol) they are putting all the running gear from a gt4 into a stock length mini.another one I like is the "mk2 jaguar 2 door coupe widebody by jack the lad.
katana Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 Project Binky is inspired - excellent fabrication skills but its taking sooooooooo long!
luckyjim Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I like "Abandoned Tennesee" and suchlike too, I can go off exploring old abandoned buildings without moving from my armchair (or cup o tea!).
