colr6 Posted October 13, 2019 Report Posted October 13, 2019 Most of the makers or borrowers Scott listed were companies that borrowed parts from other more well known manufacturers to construct a car in their own bespoke shell/ chassis. you could call all of them a bit of a Grey car really😜 1

From interior, wheels, brakes and engine spec. Until you put that pic up, I didn’t know they did an estate version. Every days a school day. Yes I was confused when I posted that photo as I thought the Mk2 Cortina Savages were meant to have bonnet vents. The varying spec thing you mentioned would help explain that.
accord83 Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 I remember when I was at school and a friends dad was the local Traffic Sergeant, he drove up in a Mk3 Cortina Savage in Mustard he was evaluating. He didn't like it, too much tail end breakaway and nose weight. I thought it looked the Mutts, with a bulge in the bonnet and Rostyles. I give my next door neighbours right testicle for it now! 1
PeteRS8084 Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 Me too! Thought the bonnet vents were only on the mk3s too....?

I have seen a couple of different type vents on Mk2 Savages but also many without. Are the vents later owner additions you think?
PeteRS8084 Posted October 14, 2019 Report Posted October 14, 2019 Blimey never seen a bonnet like that on a cortina, and I lived in Southend in the good old cruise days of the 70s.............. 1

Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted August 4, 2020 Author Moderator Report Posted August 4, 2020 Original RS or JBW wheels?

Its 50 shades so at start of the thread we decided to include metalics like silver greys and gun barrel greys so it wasn't at limited to Morris greys only. Just opens it up a bit more. 1

Now that you mention that I looked closer and the rears appear to be a different size to the front so would definitely have to be JBW
