Rally Pack 2000
Anyone know anything about these Skodas? Its not a model we ever got here but I came across some images online and I thought it looked really interesting. It has a VW vide about it and wondered if they were related in some way?
e501
Fast back model, i remember back in the 1970,s someone i knew bought a brand new skoda, while looking around it i noticed you could see the road through the gap between the sill and bottom of the door.. Excellent quality control.

katana
They were czechoslovakian made I believe during the eastern bloc / soviet era then got bought by VW when it all dissolved. Skoda were really into heavy engineering from the early parts of the 20th century - cars were a sort of sideline.

Had them for 35 and 30 years. Sold my Mini I dabbled with in that time. I had two beaters prior to those 35 years during my provisional licence years bringing my all round total to 5. (Six if you count a car I loaned money for that I drove around for a time till I sold it to recoup my money)
NudgerSS
Wow some of you have owned gazillions of cars. I tend to buy one and keep it for a while. Can’t remember the years but here’s my list 82 MG Metro 84 MG Metro 90 Sierra Sapphire 1.8 LX (Boring car) 84 Mini 25 94 Mini Cooper (still owned) 2000 Fiat Punto HGT 2004 VW Polo tdi 1980 MK2 Escort 1.1L (still owned) 2006 Toyota Celica GT 2010 Holden Captiva LX I know I kept the Punto for 8 years and the Polo for about 5. Mini Cooper i’ve had about 17 years and Escort about 5 now. Sold the Celica after about 18 months when we came out to Australia. The Holden is the wife’s for her to get to work and for us to get around. Feels strange not having a car of my own for the first time in about 30 years.
