In The Pit Posted December 29, 2020 Report Posted December 29, 2020 The Daily Express have (yesterday) published an article about the modification of classic cars and how it can affect their value, the MKI Escort is used as an example. A good point made about keeping the original parts safe so they can be sold with the car in the future. Link Here
Admin Vista Posted December 29, 2020 Admin Report Posted December 29, 2020 An article from the guy who has spent the last 30 years carrying out modifications to classic cars to "improve their value" and then flog them for a profit to the cry of " 'Old out yer 'and!"? 1

Yes I was going to say that the Escorts I have seen on Wheeler Dealers had much of their originality removed for value upgrades. Its quite weird for Brewer to be claiming that now. A sudden wind change indeed.

It could be that the article is Mike's real opinion and the fact that Wheeler Dealers modify cars just goes to show that Mike (and Ed/Ant) get very little say in what actually happens to the cars, with this being a producers decision.
notenoughtime Posted December 29, 2020 Report Posted December 29, 2020 I’ve heard bad things about brewer, think he’s a knob also

accord83 Posted December 29, 2020 Report Posted December 29, 2020 I don't like the guy on TV, don't know what he's like in real life, but I've never forgiven him for ruining the nightly coverage from the IoM TT a few years back. He seemed to just talk wide-boy the round ones, Steve Parrish and the other racers kept looking at him like he was a moron. He was paired with Jane Omorogbe, she knew what she was talking about and a damn sight nicer on the eye a pudgy Cockney. 1

Mash Posted December 30, 2020 Report Posted December 30, 2020 Ed China is a good guy, he spent a lot of time in early summer working for a local charity who were growing produce to hand out to deserving families. He was doing deliveries all over for them. Also, my mate gives him flying lessons and says he's really knowledgeable and a proper Gent. He ran his own garage for a long time, and he left WD because the new US owners were trying to force him to cut corners and bodge things. 1
