Nah fair play IMHO, you got one of the good ones which makes a difference & like you say it earns it's keep/still fun when not load lugging. Personally I'd not own a modern but horses for courses. 1

I owned two of them back in the day. The 2nd one, a G60, I eventually traded in for a Celica GT4, which I didn't like nearly as much and didn't keep for long. My friends called it the Batmobile at the time. 2
