Also it is such a fooly dream but one time I drived at limo hummer richmond. Geez what a massive car it was and I decided that I want one. Not a limo but hummer for sure.

Dave Knight Posted November 24, 2024 Report Posted November 24, 2024 I have just bought this after my Focus Estate decided to pack its injectors in and DPF. One owner who unfortunately passed away, 60,000 miles, packed with history unlike America 🤣 2 1

Nige65 Posted August 13, 2025 Report Posted August 13, 2025 My mates dad owned an orange 2.5PI back in the 70’s, you could fit 6 kids in the back before the seat belt law spoiled the fun 😁 1
accord83 Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 As I'm getting (got) old, I decided to sell the Triumph and buy a sensible family hatchback. This arrived 3 weeks ago. 4 1
ekjdm14 Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 Nice, always liked the look of the 309. Our "other cars" are a couple of 306s, a 406, ZX & Xantia. Enjoy them all but really wouldn't mind a 505 estate at some point... Errrm, and maybe a wedge princess or ambassador... guilty pleasure? lol 1

Errrm, and maybe a wedge princess or ambassador... guilty pleasure? lol The 309 is a Marmite car, some like it, some think it's fugly, I found they handled better than it's cute little 205 sister, which was a bit nose heavy. If 309's were good enough for Richard Burns, Colin McCrae, and Louise Aitkin Walker, who am I to argue! (and find another red 3dr) Some years ago I missed out on a Dangel 505 4x4 estate, one of life's regrets. What a retro service barge it would have made. The wedge shouldn't have been made, should have gone straight to Ambassador, hatchback, and no big C pillars so better all round vision. Oh, and they should have been built instead of chucked together🤣 1 1
ekjdm14 Posted March 27 Report Posted March 27 Definitely agree on BL build quality, the customers were their unwitting QC department when they were new! Makes it all the more fun to fix up & make them better than they came new though. Almost kinda-sorta acceptable from BL but what gets me is how bad Jaguar were for being a premium car... Reminds me, wouldn't mind an XJ-S either but then again I've already got the luxury, comfort & the sound with the Granny Scorpio, just feels way more solid and the electrics work! The 4 by 505 would've been amazing as a parts hauler/project recovery rig, shame. Hopefully still out there putting the work in though. I always liked the look of the 309 retrospectively, my dad had a "silver bronze" 1.6 GR and I hated that thing as a youngster (mainly because it replaced a mistral blue Sierra 1.8 that I loved, so clouded my teen judgement lol) 1
Cuili1 Posted March 28 Report Posted March 28 I have a love for modern classics as well as old. 2x Subaru Impreza 2 door TypeR's Escort Cosworth. And my daily is a Range Rover Sport SVR... Yes I know, bring on the haters lol. 2 1
