Ohhhh love that!  Another on the bucket list - my list is tooooo long and irrelevant unless I win the lottery 🤣

I was looking for a four seat convertible and saw this had a full fabric sunroof, SOLD!🤣

My mates dad owned an orange 2.5PI back in the 70’s, you could fit 6 kids in the back before the seat belt law spoiled the fun 😁

Nice, always liked the look of the 309. Our "other cars" are a couple of 306s, a 406, ZX & Xantia. Enjoy them all but really wouldn't mind a 505 estate at some point... Errrm, and maybe a wedge princess or ambassador... guilty pleasure? lol

The 309 is a Marmite car, some like it, some think it's fugly, I found they handled better than it's cute little 205 sister, which was a bit nose heavy. If 309's were good enough for Richard Burns, Colin McCrae, and Louise Aitkin Walker, who am I to argue! (and find another red 3dr)

Some years ago I missed out on a Dangel 505 4x4 estate, one of life's regrets. What a retro service barge it would have made. The wedge shouldn't have been made, should have gone straight to Ambassador, hatchback, and no big C pillars so better all round vision. Oh, and they should have been built instead of chucked together🤣

Definitely agree on BL build quality, the customers were their unwitting QC department when they were new! Makes it all the more fun to fix up & make them better than they came new though. Almost kinda-sorta acceptable from BL but what gets me is how bad Jaguar were for being a premium car... Reminds me, wouldn't mind an XJ-S either but then again I've already got the luxury, comfort & the sound with the Granny Scorpio, just feels way more solid and the electrics work!

The 4 by 505 would've been amazing as a parts hauler/project recovery rig, shame. Hopefully still out there putting the work in though. I always liked the look of the 309 retrospectively, my dad had a "silver bronze" 1.6 GR and I hated that thing as a youngster (mainly because it replaced a mistral blue Sierra 1.8 that I loved, so clouded my teen judgement lol)
