Gear stick vibration rattle

Is there anything that can be done with a vibration rattle in the gearstick when driving very annoying

So they created a nylon bearing shift to stop the vibrations. That's pretty innovative. Why would Type 9s suffer this issue where Types Es do not?

I have just had the same problem albeit with a Type 2, I changed the nylon saddle that fits over the selector shaft and that cured mine 👍

Found this on eBay, searched for  Type E gearstick saddle 👍

I've got one of these on my Mk1 Cortina. Good bit of kit.

Interesting mine doesn't seem to vibrate. It has an all metal spherical bearing in its stick. Im trying to think of the maker but it was a limited one with a blue anodized base. ( I do use the original plastic saddle though) I wonder if those Quaife ones give a better feel?

Found this on eBay, searched for  Type E gearstick saddle 👍
