Not the modern type of gender discussion don't worry.

But for those of you who think of your vehicles in a gender way, is there a reason you do... Or is it just a feeling? Maybe a name provoked the gender?

Reason is. My cortina. I think of as a boy, a young man maybe... But definitely male.

No idea why or any particular reasoning but just always thought of it being a male🤷🤷. But my misses thinks of it as my mistress. My true love apparently 🤣.

Interested in your thoughts

My Mexico is 100% female.

Been rinsing me since we met.!

It started with a chance encounter and I just had to take her on.

Been nothing but trouble ever since.

But, just once in a while she gives me a big smile and I know it was meant to be.😀

I'd say mine is male

Bit like an old mate, you don't have to call them every day week, you can just open up the garage and say hello you old f*cker, and go and cause some mayhem together and consume lots of strong liquid and both come back stinking of it.

I made this comment only a few days ago in another thread. My car is Gender Neutral so I can have a greater choice of swear words to call it when it breaks or a part doesnt fit!

This is how I think about my Escort, but, on a twisty back road at night it changes sex to become a dirty dance partner. It is therefore a hermaphrodite.

The Alvis is definitely female as I imagine it being driven by a cad, like Leslie Phillips.

I always refer to my car as 'he' and as I have done with all of my cars, I have never seen the feminine side of them, on the other hand, my wife as always referred to her cars as 'she'.

In fact our cars have names based on their number plates except my Kubota tractor, his name is Gerald!

Well...

I said I see the cortina as a male.

The Mondeo ( daily) is in the garage needing a stupidly expensive repair 😒🙄😠 for something that on the cortina would take me 15-20 mins an cost around £50 max. ( £680 on the Mondeo and can't do it myself cos no lift/ramp ) Aaanyway...

Needed to fire up the cortina to take the kids back to the ex's... Hasn't been started in a few weeks due to wet an cold etc.

Wasn't happy about it at all. Woke *it" from under  "it's" blanket unannounced, Started straight away then ran cold for ages. An every time I wanted "it" to respond ( rev) "it" went huh huh huh huuuuhhh an continued to be cold an unresponsive every time I tried it on.... It's definitely a female today 🤣🤣it got me across town an back but made it very clear SHE wasn't happy 🤣
