OSF no , no's

Here's a topic that should stir up a bit of a debate hopefully . What do you lot reckon is a no , no on an oldkoolford motor then . I'll start the ball rolling with my pet hate = 15 wheels ( or bigger ) , they look fooooooooking shite and also those hideous big stupid strut braces that circle the engine bay and almost touch the heater bubble and the front slam panel , absolute gash !!!!!!!!!!

umm i think modifying cars is all about individuality anyways. Big wheels can look good, but they need to be choosen carefully! I personally dont like the big oval strut braces but each to there own

each to his own. some peole prefer old skool engines only, 13" rims and stripped out racers.

 

others prefer cosworth engines, and 15" wheels to coverthe brakes etc.

So the question is what don't you like then ? It's only a matter of taste etc which everyone has a difference in . Some like chrome wheels , stripes , fur interiors etc and some don't , just post up what you don't like and we'll see whats the most hated . So far it's those big strut brace things

I dont like people NOT embracing the fact that it is an OLD SKOOL CAR, and putting things like clear lenses and carbon fibre things everywhere (why the hell do you need a really strong, carbon fibre dash???)

 

And yes, i do dislike big wheels (and i will eat my words soon cos i will be getting a mk1 escort with 16" wheels on it soon!!!). (this is to cover 315mm brakes i hasten to add!!).

 

I really, really dont like polished chrome or anything like that too. It just dont suit an OSF.

Just my opinions though and sorry to all you carbon fibre lovers with chrome stuff under the bonnet too!!

I don't care what I don't like it isn't my place to criticise someone elses pride and joy. Nor do I care what anyone else doesn't like about mine. It's your / my car, fit what you / I like and be damned to hell with anyone that wants to rubbish it.

 

Remember, whatever you slate on here someone will have fitted to their car and probably be very proud of. If they like it who are we to be rude about it?

 

What I will say is I definitely don't like posts that seem deliberately aimed at causing ill feeling in what is normally a very friendly group!

Nothing wrong with 15" wheels....at least there not common as muck like Minilites or RS4s....and oval strut braces look shit.

 

I also hate the forest arches that dont curve back into the body at the bottom..like the ones on the NTS mk2.

i dont have an issue with large wheels but i think some modern wheels look bad on old cars in general with the exception of ratmans mk1 which is just plain sexy.
