But Prefect with a YB, now that would be savage!

Other for me!

I would love to put in a 24v Cosworth V6 in the Capri, and a nice 1500 Kent Pre Crossflow in the Anglia :D:D:D

iv just read about a cossey v6 in a mini that has to be scary.

Depending what Car it's going in... I think the Straight 8 4 ltr Turbo out of the Oz Falcon would be ubercool in a capri...

The all-new F6 270 is 4-litre turbo-charged, intercooled, 24-valve double variable overhead cam straight six with the highest torque output of any production six cylinder ever built in Australia and one of the most powerful in the world. This engine has a 50% larger air-to-air intercooler than previously and the dual air intake system reduces intake pressure into the turbo leading to higher efficiency.

The F6 270 produces its maximum power of 270kW at 5250 rpm. However, more impressive is the torque of 550Nm on tap from just 2000 rpm and remaining constant all the way through to 4250 rpm. At time of launch, this was the highest torque output of any production engine ever built in Australia.

270 may not sound much, but in Oz these engines are producing power figures getting on for nearly 1000bhp

If you want to go V8 power then this is the one to have!!

The Boss 290 engine gives raw power and everyday comfort. The awe-inspiring

5.4-litre capacity, 32 valves and quad camshafts work together to produce 290 kilowatts of power and 520 Newton metres of torque. This results in free-revving top-end power and massive torque at low speeds too. In combination with the tuned stainless steel exhaust system, the Boss 290 produces the trademark rumble that lets you know you're driving a real, blue-blooded V8.

My big budget lump would have to be a hemi 8)

426ci, claimed 425hp but closer to 500hp standard.

Then it'd be modded to insanity.....

..... and it'd have a dirty great supercharger slapped on top for good measure :whack it:

All in an RS3100 replica mk1 capper 8):D :D

So if money were no object what engine goes in your OSF?

Tweak the Zetec in my Anglia Saloon up to about 200-220bhp

200bhp Duratec in my Anglia van

And just turn the wick up on my Cossie from 350 to 500bhp
