got to be crossflow, still going strong in kit cars and in modern form.

the grass trackers love em, kit cars love em, the army used them, rally cars had em, track cars had em, formula fords used them.

I'd have to say the KENT engine, used in pre crossflow then crossflow then valencia, HCS and endura E, any engine that can remain mainstream (Ok with some Magor upgrades) for 40 odd years MUST have been pretty good in the first place :thumbsup:

Ahh, But the BD is not a production engine built by Ford, It was a Cosworth build, if we were talking General Ford Engines, I would be either the MAE, which put cosworth on the map, or the BD, or the double BD, the DFV

they never did a 390 boss, they where 302's and 427's

the 390 was the gt 1967/68 (bullit mustang)

if we are going old, It has to be the first Ford V8 fitted to the 32model B, same basic format was still around inthe 60s in french army vehicals.
