Filled the Consul up after doing 133 miles to Wheels day and taking 24 litres of petrol, which roughly works out to a shamefull 25 miles to the gallon

If that wasn`t bad enough i had no wipers all the way home

i've once got 520 miles off a tank with the capri (60 litres) , that was motorway trip liverpool to brighton to ford fair and home last year, pumped up tyres and sticking to 70 on't clock  but including 5 laps of silverstone  had a jerry can on the way home, which never needed using :thumbsup::thumbsup:

my mate was shocked this weekend when i said we'd be goin in the capri, i had to assure him it would use less petrol on a motorway slog than my daily '03 fezza 1.4 16v :? so to prove it, we filled up, done 120 mile round trip to pick some wheels up, filled up at the same pump on the way back, used 16 litres  wasnt even taking it easy, was racing with a saxo at one point on the m6  usually i get around 100 miles to £20 around town and hoofing it

in the mk1 escort that i used to have i managed to go 70 miles on a full tank when i was booting it back from a meet up near Wigan, think most of it was burnt up on the cat and fiddle and them from Buxton to where i live, thirsty work them hills :lol: . the cortina is pretty good, can get around 280 to a tank if im cruising down motorways
