They did develop a reputation for the K series engine blowing head gaskets but i bought mine as a Rover factory demonstrator with 1600 miles on it at something like £8 - £10k below new list price. Kept it for 3 years and another 30k miles and it was faultless throughout. Nowadays they are so cheap that i think a good low mileage on is a bargain that will eventually appreciate in value.
