Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted September 2, 2019 Author Moderator Report Posted September 2, 2019 Since you guys liked this car. 2
colr6 Posted September 2, 2019 Report Posted September 2, 2019 I might as well put this up, one of our members cars. One of the best jobs I’ve seen, attention to detail on this is second to none. 4
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted September 3, 2019 Author Moderator Report Posted September 3, 2019 So the guys that are doing that Gordon Murray Mk1 also did a Mk2 for a member on here? Wow, is there a video series of that one as well it looks excellent?
colr6 Posted September 3, 2019 Report Posted September 3, 2019 No vid on that one, well as far as I know there isn’t. It did have mag coverage though with plenty of photos. It’s beautiful to look at even on very close inspection it’s faultless. The only problem I had with it is the engine is at 7degrees not upright which to me spoils it.

colr6 Posted September 3, 2019 Report Posted September 3, 2019 It’s a Vauxhall red top engine, you have two options when fitted either 7 degrees as where originally fitted and using the manta alloy sump or upright if you use a steel sump conversion

I would have gone upright too then if there was a conversion available for an Escort. Slightly skewed is OK but not tilted

Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted September 29, 2019 Author Moderator Report Posted September 29, 2019 Not found on our shores usually so this is a unique import. Typical though someone put a V8 in it as soon as it got here. 1
Admin Vista Posted September 30, 2019 Admin Report Posted September 30, 2019 V8 conversions on Granadas (and Capris) happen here too.
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted October 7, 2019 Author Moderator Report Posted October 7, 2019 I think this Mk2 Ghia could be perfect just the front spoiler lets it down.
