Need more orange cars in this thread. 8)

You may enjoy some rare RS orange?

Or something more colonial complete with original 3000 V6 and super roo stickers?

8) but isn't that RS3100 red?

Is the colour altered by the artificial lighting do you think? Half the RS3100s seem to be here in Australia and I saw one in Orange once and it was a richer orange like that pictured compared to the tradition Capri orange like the Australian one below.

The RS3100 wasn't available in orange. Options were Daytona Yellow, Sebring Red, Diamond White, Modena Green, Olympic Blue, Stardust Silver and Marine Blue, they all had gold decals similar to the RS2600 but with the words deleted from the bootlid.

Then is definitely the Sebring Red coloured one I must have seen then . I remember seeing another car marked this colour before and thought thats orange not red but it was under fluros as well.

Still think it qualifies more as an Orange than a red though. You have to admit? (Focus on the colour if you can)

Even though its a basic Mk2 the simplicity of it and the colour make it one of the nicest Escorts I have seen. I think the vinyl roof just sets this car off beautifully.

It shows you dont need a row of spotties, big arches and all the RS fixings to get that perfect look. Stunning IS the only word for it.

Sorry I can't focus an ANYTHING anymore. But that photo has killed my interest in RS3100's forever.

Highly recommend repairs as below to achieve a silky smooth result:

I saw that image the other day but wasn't going to taint this thread with it as I embarrassingly know where it comes from.

Is it a real car?

Thought it was a photoshop jobby.

Aspects of the front grill and lights certainly look like they have been photoshopped as many other parts. But its certainly based on real photo of an Australian Mk1 buried in there.

How to spot an Australian Orange

1/ The XXXX Beer flag (Choke)

2/ The crappy plastic mirrors

OrangeCpillars1.jpg.275e4c72c3f1d2ae0ebf5de7b6f4645a.jpg

3/ The classic Australian Escort C pillar.

Astronomers need to need not look to the skies for mini "Black Holes". Orange really isn't the rust disguiser its made out to be!

The Australian colonials didn't seem to impress so what about some American instead?
