Ok, they do look untidy but almost better that than those pointed cut ends that are more adept than any surgeons scalpel for opening up, fingers, wrists, forearms and biceps to extensive blood flow - you need the vice grips to stem the blood flow! :D

Just going through a few bits on the cortina before the weekend,

When I bought the car the prev owner put new h4 headlights in and a couple of inches of new wiring to them,

I then put a fusebox in an relays for power hungry circuits.

Never removed the lights before....

The old twist and hope connectors..

What's worse is its next to a bloody crimp connector so it's not like he didn't noIMG_20220509_120003.thumb.jpg.14ea727707e39dd269db2a7c5e358deb.jpgIMG_20220509_120031.thumb.jpg.3bf250440b5e8045b199683de858cf34.jpg

Total overkill IMO - cable ties would have sufficed . . . . black ones mind you, white or coloured are weaker!

True story: many years ago a co-worker was testing a battery charger. He used a multimeter to test the battery voltage every hour or so. What he didn't know was that someone else just used the same multimeter to measure current through a motor. When co-worker 1 next used the multimeter to measure voltage (which was still in current mode) the thing plus the battery terminals disintegrated with a big bang. Co-worker 1 escaped unhurt, co-worker 2 wasn't seen for a few days ...

Someone wants hitting over the head with the mallets.

This wasn't a cheap bodge. Why didn't they get proper mounts 🤔

From what I read, it wasn't to mount the exhaust, it was to try and reduce the drone from it. They do appear to have put thin insulating blocks between the exhaust and the rubber but no idea how effective it proved to be.

Perhaps he should have kept hitting himself on the head with the mallets. That would have replaced the drumming with a ringing 🤣

I thought about using a mallet to remove the constant drone in my ear too but the solicitor suggested divorce instead.

Mallet could get you in trouble, divorce is probably expensive. As a first step to remove the constant drone try this
