He does insurance work all the time. He will have you sorted in no time. http://www.finishlineukltd.co.uk/

orionmojo Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 He got out of his car after it happened and walked towards me clapping his hands what a knob. i've knocked people out for less i'm not proud of that before i go on, but that is one thing that winds me right up is people who are arrogant to the bitter end. i had a bump in my van and the guy got out and was ranting and raving and threatened to take my keys, i said they were in my back pocket and to go ahead. looser backed right off. am really gutted for you m8. thats a true minter of a car, superb colour too hope it comes good for you. dont take any shit off the insurance either. age doesn't come into it after a certain point.
steve mk2 Posted March 4, 2007 Author Report Posted March 4, 2007 i feel sorry for my dad hes gonna loose his 11 years ncb
Messenjah Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 no he wont m8 if its her fault then the claim is off HER insurance not ures ..

Jay_harrier Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 yep drivers in the south cant drive tht well im afraid That has to be the most fooking stupid thing ive read in a long time What he said & then some, this has nothing to do with regional abilities , probably more to do with volumes of traffic & distraction.
atomic punk Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Gutted for you - I seen this car in the flesh and thought it looked damn fine hope it did more damage to her car than it did to yours
Deano1351 Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Good news that she is insured fella, thats got to be a weight off your mind and your old mans NCB will be fine as well, it'l be back on the road without a bouncy bootlid in no time
jimbo Posted March 4, 2007 Report Posted March 4, 2007 Yikes!! was my first reaction. Glad to hear she's insured, so that she can take the brunt. Make sure that when you get quotes done, get 'em to check everything out. You'd be amazed the knock-on effects a shunt can have throughout a car I had some dozy twat nearly take my front wing off the other day. They blatantly hadn't looked as they came out of a side junction (yellow and black should be easy to spot!!) My theory is that modern car technology detaches people from the driving experience so much, their minds just wanders off the road. Insured or not, I'm still gutted for you. Having seen how much work you've put in to the car over the months. Let us all know how it all works out. Jim PS. Keep the Vinyl. Keep the Vinyl. Keep the Vinyl. Keep the Vinyl.
steve mk2 Posted March 4, 2007 Author Report Posted March 4, 2007 Gutted for you - I seen this car in the flesh and thought it looked damn fine hope it did more damage to her car than it did to yours it did nothing atal always the way init
steve mk2 Posted March 4, 2007 Author Report Posted March 4, 2007 PS. Keep the Vinyl. Keep the Vinyl. Keep the Vinyl. Keep the Vinyl. sorry that aint gonna hapen its rusting under their and its starting to get bad i wanna tackle it before it makes a hole. already been qouted 200 for paint work and il be getting me dads mate to weld up the holes and help me sort the rust.
arch Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 i didnt mean every body if seen the way ppl drive over on the island ull no y i sed tht !!!!!!! sorry if it offended any body. hope u get the car fixed steeve dude
105Nick Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I'd feel terrible if that were me, I really feel for you mate, but it is repairable mind. My sister had my brother's mk1, the car in front stopped as the car in front was turning right across the road on a straight A road when some prat in a pug slammed into the back of her, the back bumper was pretty much touching the back axle and stuffed the front in, the only thing we got back from it was one door, the wheels, running gear, broken bucket seats and a reakllybent steering wheel. It was bright Daytona Yellow for god's sake!
steve mk2 Posted March 5, 2007 Author Report Posted March 5, 2007 went to get quotes today and they are all saying the car is a write off im determind not to let that happen!!!!! if i wer not to claim on insurance then i can be fixed if i supply the rear panel etc and one workshop offered me a quote of £350 to cut out old panel insert new panel and smooth and paint it ?????? is that a good price. also at a different garrage this guy said to me if my dads mate at the workshop fitted the new panel he would smooth down and paint the new panel for £150 i will be getting the price for cutting and fitting the new pannel tomorow morning. and if that works out similar to the above one then il go for this one probably coz my dad will be working with him and he can make sure it aint getting bodged. please please please dont write it off mr insurance company
Rick Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 they cant just write it off can they??? arseholes they just think: old car, better write it off
mk2_escort_chick Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 I love ur car- great news that she's insured. Now get that sexy beast back on the road to how she was....I want ur car!!!!!!!!
Stu_B Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 No way is it a write off ! just send in the classifieds from classic ford or retro ford with similar cars to yours highlighted!! The market value of your car is far higher than recorded on their shiity computer systems!
fezza Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Dont panic m8,at worse if they do write it off im sure you get the option to buy the car back which is usually peanuts then just get the car repaired anyway, job done (im sure someone will correct me if im wrong)you may even end up with some cash left over
stu Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 not alot i can say that hasnt already but i hope u can turn here round soon as fella.
