I didn't know Australia didn't get the estates but knew they were available in New Zealand.

You see one at a show every now and then but they are nicked from elsewhere. New Zealand most likely!

Yes, except no 10. Fiat / Lancia maybe?

Oh and in no7, I assumed you are referring to the ride on mower rather than the 924? 😁

Your too good at this so your not allowed to answer till tomorrow LOL In your case you have to name the mower to increase the hardness factor!  Number 10 was meant to be harder than the others, couldn't have a cake walk after all.

No 10 is a Datsun Fairlady

Pretty Good overall. Number 1 has a bit taller roofline than a 912 though and not as sleek a fastback profile as a 912. The Corvette is indeed a 63 (impressed you can name the year!). Looks like a Roller abandoned behind the Mini too! Number 10 isnt Italian though.

It had you thinking for a bit though before you worked it out! Did you have to look it up?

More known as the Datsun 1600 / 2000 Roadster but sometimes called the Fairlady in markets outside Japan like Australia. It was Japans 60s attempt at the British roadster decades before they tried again with the MX-5. It did make you all think though wondering if it was Italian or British!

Maybe that was the a good enough reason you would abandon a Lamborghini Muira? Quite a few familiar faces in that batch next lot will be harder!

While I do love Toyota 2000 GTs technically Toyota didn't really re-create the classic British Roadster with it. They only made two of those for the James Bond Film "You only live Twice" (My favourite bond film) all the rest were hard tops and even then only a few hundred of them. But in a way you are right I would take a hard top version of the Toyota over the Datto any day. It has an E type look about it. But they are on two different levels. The Datsun 2000 Roadsters were cheap in comparison and available in the tens of thousands. A Japanese Triumph.

And just so we don't stray too far off topic.

Some of these pictures are just depression inducing and quite sad!

You're right they can be. I try to choose the most artistic ones so the beauty of them can still be appreciated.

Clearly the sleek lines of a Ford. OSF maybe?

Blimey, that's clutching at straws. It could be a mole hill under there!

Capri then?

The story being this property was owned by an elderly lady and the council received a complaint and were forced to bring in the specialist chainsaws for some serious vegetation clearance.

Well maybe not that specialised but when it was all cut back it revealed a car that the lady had no idea was even there!

And it was ........

An Escort!!!

Oh Well not an OSF but close. 1982 Estate. You never know what you may find if you don't mow your lawns! (A Capri was a good guess though they seem the most abandoned OSF of all)
