Admin Vista Posted March 9, 2007 Admin Report Posted March 9, 2007 Before I got the Escort I'd always been a capri man and deep down would love to own a really good one again in the future So question is: - If you were spending a good sum of money, and there were two you liked the look of, which one of the two poll options would you buy? Both are very nice, are priced identically and are both very low mileage at 30 odd thousand (within a few thousand of each other)
xpackken Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 in my opinion the brookie is over rated .and far to much money for not that much more of a car .. _________________ Love Forums

caprifan Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 ...3.0S every time mate .....although I would dearly love a mk2 3.0S ...or my other love...a Blue Over Silver 2.8 the same as Retroford have
escamino Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 ...3.0S every time mate .....although I would dearly love a mk2 3.0S
escortmad79 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 RS2600/RS3100 or Mk1 pre facelift in daytona yellow or green, just to be different
Admin Vista Posted March 9, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted March 9, 2007 RS2600/RS3100 or Mk1 pre facelift in daytona yellow or green, just to be different I've done mk1 3 litre and if I was going to have another Mk1 I'd only want my old one back again.
v6pop Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Theres something about the 3.0 Litre lump that I just love, lazy torque, solid as a rock, and the look of the earlier capri goes with it.....proper capri!
OllieC Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 can you have a turbo on the brookie (is that cheating lol) ? thats makes the choice hard, otherwise has to be 3.0s theres no torque in a cologne, u have to rev it all the time
john_3.0s Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 got to be a 3.0 mate, far too much plastic on a 280 for my likeing (IMHO of course!)
X-pack-Glyn Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 3.0S without a doubt.....the earlier the car the better.
erick Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 3.0s a better capri than the brooklands, had mine for 18 years so i would say that
4parajon Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Had a 3litre "S" so I would plump for the brookie
borneo Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 The recaro full leather interior wins it for me. Most 280s aren't worth the money they're going for tho. Mines a replica built with all genuine parts so i got all the good stuff at 2.8 injection money. + no one's gonna have a moan when i x pack it and paint it a different colour. 3.0s is definately the better looking car when standard.
d13dkt Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 the brooki is nice but is just a posh 2.8i(sorry brookie owners). ive got a 2.8 so i would aggree with the majority and go for the 3.0s.
