Just bought a Peugeot 108 with a 1.2 Puretech engine that has a wet belt. It's not been changed yet (2016 car with 73k) so that's on the cards next month. Peugeot state 10 years or 100k miles (whichever comes first). From what I've read, the problems with them mostly come from me using the wrong spec oil for the engine (though I am sure there are exceptions to that).

It wasn't flickering, it was on. All the instruments died and the wipers stopped working too.

Alternator light came on on my mk1 whilst out on a sunny day's drive yesterday. I put her back in the garage and shut the door on the problem. Can't be bothered either.

Probably means the postage they quoted and charged you wasn't enough to cover what it was actually going to cost, which they didn't find out until they took it to the post office. Not aware of any problems but I haven't bought anything from Italy in some time now.

Also one of my favourite 90's cars. I owned two of them back in the day. The 2nd one, a G60, I eventually traded in for a Celica GT4, which I didn't like nearly as much and didn't keep for long. My friends called it the Batmobile at the time.

Statutory Off Road Notification. If you don't tax a car (I.e. pay annual Vehicle Excise Duty, even though for most of our old cars that is now free) then you have to make a SORN declaration to the DVLA. If you don't, a fine can arrive in the post.

Our daughter has been volunteering at a rare breeds petting farm for a couple of years. Chickens, goats, pigs, alpacas, Guinea Pigs, rabbits, sheep, red squirrels and various birds. Shovelling animal pretty much takes up most of her time. No dangerous creatures mind, Cassowarys are evil bar stewards! Come to think of it, is there any wildlife in Oz that doesn't want to kill you?
