Reading between the lines I would think the shells going to end up race prepped or something, I think the owner would be better off selling the X5 and investing the money in electric shock treatment (wiring of genitals into local substation would be a start).

I did the same with a Cortina Mk3 that was near mint, sold all the bits and modified the shell for racing.

 

Could have done it to a rusty car, but I wanted to start with the best I could possibly buy.

thin about everything that you cut out that mint shell just a few examples - bigger tunnel, exhaust tunnel, 4 link box brackets, arches etc, thats alot of clean metal being cut out
