It's an F1 style sequential shiftlight for the van. It plugs into my Megasquirt. You can set the upper and lower rev limits for the lights.

So, say, at 6000 rpm the green come on

at 6100 the yellow come on.

Then at 6200 the red come on. That means it's time to change gear!

I have just made a spagetti bolognaise.

 

The wiring is very similar :wink:

 

I can see. I'm going to install it then!

all credit to you fella for making your own but why don't you use a datatool revlight? yes it was made for bikes, but it only has 3 wires and a programming earth very easy to fit all you need is an electronic rev counter as you need to tap into the pulse feed, at the bottom of this web page is some vids of it in use, the one i had was set up so when max revs were hit, the whole display flashed very quickly until revs dropped upon gear change.
