Thanks for your comments Steve (Ratman) .

I am not sure who you are referring to about the egging on of the burnouts at Boxhill although I would be interested to hear who it was. However, I do recall removing a burnout picture of you leaving Boxhill which, at the time, infuriated you because you felt that I had deleted the picture for no reason. Although if you recall I did PM you immediately to say that I had done it because I had been advised by a member of Her Majesty's finest that it could be used as incriminating evidence by the police if the person could be seen to be doing it on a public highway and the numberplate was visible - I deleted other people's pics as well from that post so you were not alone .... I am not sure if that is the incident you are referring to? In any case .. just because the others are egging you on, doesn't mean you or anyone else has to follow ... peer pressure should have passed you by when you reached adulthood :ykt: .

If you remember you did Pm me about why you removed it and after you explained why I was ok about it. Perhaps what you don’t remember is I went thro a spate of things I posted (none rude of confrontational) being deleted including 10+ pages of my retro thread on my cortina  but hay ho and thanks for the heads up on peer pressure but if you remember back in the day a burnout leaving an event was the done thing

I would agree with your comments about Admin volunteering to do the job ... in fact we were all invited to do the job but, nevertheless, we all agreed to do it and as such we expect to take a certain amount of shit from disgruntled members who don't agree with what we have done or why although some members seem to think that we act alone when in fact we act as a group both day and night and with the consultation of at least one other member of Admin  . I am not sure what you mean by looking inwards but if you would care to elaborate either on here or via PM then all of us who help to run and maintain the site would be pleased to hear from you

Fair enuf as is said earlier I wouldn’t do it but I like your wink at the end of with the consultation of at least one other member of Admin  of course you do 8)

The Mods and Admin on here are not going to change :ykt: ... we work well as a team and run a fairly successful "club" both on and off the forum with the meets and events that are arranged for everyone to take part in and like I have said, doesn't really matter what disgruntled ex-members think ... they have moved on for their own reasons and if they clashed with "power hungry" Mods or Admin then perhaps it is because of their attitude and not the attitude of the Mod/Admin that they choose to still be moaning about forever after! The site has not suffered from their departures and continues to grow and change as all good things do .

I’m fully aware it wont change and that’s not the issue as I said earlier as an older member I remember most of the admin team before they was admin just plain members like all of us, some NOT all I mite add have changed just my opinion that’s all what I mean look in not out all the time.

Again, thank you for your comments

Your welcome

Yep, I do remember the burnouts, the jack up kits, the late nights cruising (back in the day) albeit around the Camberley/Woking area rather than South London - oh happy days  I was a member of the Surrey Street Rodders back then and I had a sit up and beg Pop and a couple of Mk2 'tinas because I couldn't afford a nice shiny Escort :lol: Shame they're so common now ... perhaps I should've kept the 'tina

speaking as just a mod on here i think the admin on this site (and

other sites too) take a lot of stick from many members about one

thing or another! i did not realise how much goes on behind the scenes

just to keep the site ticking over, + thats without technical interweb

problems + deleting tonnes of spam shite everyday. dont forget that

this is done for free none of them gets a wage from it + they all have

jobs to juggle too. when i joined the site in 06 i knew very few people

+ i too was to shy to go over to a "group" of people at a show or meet,

but this changed when i started attending all the shows i could get to +

talking to one or two people + that leads on to more, i too used to see

the "group" of osf members talking but why wouldn't they? if they know

each other why not! if you are a shy or quiet person it will take a bit of

bravery to get to know people but NONE of the members ive met from

this site (not just admin) have ever blanked me or made me feel like

leaving the site after speaking to them. i get stick for asking for a price

or a location of a post + its allways so funny  + yes i chose to do it

so i have no problem with that, this site is huge with thousands of members

+ you cant please everyone all the time so members will get frustrated

+ go on other forums + slag this site off, i am a member of many forums

under different names + imho i think this site is pretty average in the way

its run + the whinging goes on with EVERY forum so its not just this site.

the grass is not allways greener on the other side  all i say to any

that feel left out is make the effort to approach the group + talk to one

of them + break the ice. + one final thing i would like to thank publicly

on here ALL the admin for making me feel really welcome on here +

the biggest thank you to the lovely jo for taking loads of time to introduce

me to regular members (who's face she knows) so then i know them +

can introduce them to others  so to any new members all i

can say is join in with the chat + banter + who knows you might even

like it!!!!!!!!! :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Fook me, I've missed loads in here today

Would it possibly be too much to ask that if anyone has a particular member of staff they are unhappy with, can they just tell us? it would make things a whole lot easier and we'd be able to settle any gripes straight away :thumbsup:

TBF if anyone doesn't know what I look like by now you've not been looking  My ugly mug is regularlary in CF handing out trophies and (thanks Scott) there is usually some fookin gay pose of me somewhere on the site at any given time  At the meets you can't miss me, I'm the one banning everyone, scaring children and harming small animals. oh yeah, and arguing with everyone and did I say banning people (whilst wearing my Hitler outfit) :adminpower:

What is difficult I think, in any community, is that although we all share a common interest we can't all be friends - that's a fact of life.

Steve (ratman) I remember saying hello to you and Mrs ratman at every meet and chit chatting etc. I remember sticking up for you when people were criticizing your wheels. Problem is, I remember the last box hill meet where you left and drove straight past me without even turning your head. Now maybe you didn't see me and maybe you ignored me on purpose who knows  But hey, nobody died so I'm not going to moan about it.

I too would like to thank everyone for their comments so far, but please realise that we (OSF Mods and Admin) will respond to points raised if we need to and that our answers will not please everyone. Just like 'real' life

Yes you did stick up for me and I was thankful as you well remember I got slaughtered on here big time about the same time my posts started disappearing  and yes we have spoken often.

No problem with the box hill leaving I didn’t see you but if you had waved I would have driven straight at you  Missed chance to squish an admin

I think the issue is and this isnt aimed at you alone phill but this you didnt wave at me or talk so I wont wave or talk to you BS.

This discussion appears to have strayed beyond the subject matter, i.e. what members would like from this, their forum.

To quote a famous singer song writer (who himself was quoting someone else)

Half of the people can be part right all of the time,

And some of the people can be all right part of the time,

But all of the people can't be all right all of the time.

I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

Good to air points of view but they are ultimately just opinions and are therefore worth debating but never worth falling out over.

Personally I'd like it if a few more of the older members were still around but but hey it's anyone's prerogative to move on to pastures new if they don't enjoy it any more.

You asked Darren to remove you as a moderator because YOU said that you didn't have the time due to work and family commitments ... doesn't mean you are a lesser member because you are no longer blue :?:(

Darren removed the mod status to help you out so that you wouldn't have the responsibility of having to come on here and check rooms when you were too busy to do it :?

Lardy ... you have said that you go to nearly every Boxhill event .... am not sure where you live but if you are within driving distance of Farnham in Surrey there is a meet there tonight that you will be very welcome to come along to  See the events section for more details

Anyone seen Darren ( Posse ) ?

Surely as owner and creater of this forum that is OSF i thought he would have added his comments to this thread........ :?

To raise a point made earlier i think "staff" on the back of hoodies or T shirts or Hi vis tops ( more for group runs than at shows) is the way forward. We did that with our bike club and it instantly seemed to make us easy to spot and more appraochable and easy to follow on the road.

For me i'd just wonder over an say hello when i spotted a Mod or Admin free iam quite sure they would introduce you to the rest of the crew no probs. As for the drag racing thing its each to there own theres a room for it its not like it spills out into every room.

I understand the idea of the names on hoodies/t-shirts thing BUT I have been with other clubs that have had that and some of the non Admin/Mods ie. normal members said "Look at them with their names on .. who do they think they are" Like they were over inflating themselves because they were Admin and people commented that it made them look like they were saying they were better than everyone else which is of course not the case :?:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Guys face was a picture proper Kodak moment

Followed by as he walked away "he's a knob in person too"

Fook pandering to people you will never be able to keep happy

I'm here just had a few probs .

As for this post there is some good points and some shit.

My thoughts are if people don't like the way its run then DO one don't come on here quite simple really. I think the rules on here a Laim compared to some sites. And all forums are only what the members make it. The majority of members that are on here enjoy osf's and like interacting with others which have the same interests.

vista that site is for sale mate

ive been following whats been said on here and can i just say that i was made a mod just before the cf show this year when i went to pay my subs jo introduced all the others that were a round to me which i thought was nice of her as i had no idea who was who, im a very shy guy in life, although people that know me would say otherwise as for the staff wearing something to say that they are who they are, i have seen this from other forums as well and tbh have heard others say simular things as jo`s heard but its always said behind the backs and all smiles to the faces i for one would not like to have to wear a staff top as i prefer people to say things to my face not behind my back

i did ask about if its possible for members to get their names put on to the site teashirts but that was a general person and not just the staff

can i also ask who would staff be classed as, admin alone or mods as well?
