Mr.Sumo Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 What do i expect / look for in a forum ? mmm..... well , friendly banter with the appeal of being able to comment on any particular subject etc without fear of being labelled...... less of the " its not an Escort " syndrome......i speak from previous experiance a couple of years ago when i had my Granada.....and more of the " its OldSkool , love it " . I mean , if its got a FORD badge...its in ! i like the idea of the older members on OSF trying to enhance the joy of OSF to the new members...i mean , we was all new on here once , the only thing is most people haven"t got the front of some people and would rather not introduce themselves for fear of embarrassing themselves ....but the idea could definately work Heres an idea....what about members introducing themselves and there cars on the forum ? Bit like a " Show an Tell " ? Heres my car , this is me ...let me tell you about it ! No ? OK , i"ll get my coat i must admit , i tend not to use the Tech pages....i find its easier just to call the companies that are on this forum for info / questions answered etc....but any questions i have asked via the forum have been answered in a true and honest fashion Well , thats my tuppence worth.......

Reasons I feel Osf and some members have now got to big for its/there boots and that is a shame I love drag racing as the next person but it’s not the be all and end all of everything and the site is focused on it to much IMO Escortosis yes there are different old fords that ALL are worthy not just the escort and yes I have owned more that one escort back in the day I will continue to visit when I feal like it as I have made some good friends within Osf

I guess different forums offer different things to all of us but ultimately we all have the choice to visit them or not if we don't like them or the way they are run Ratman - we do try to move drag racing topics to the appropriate rooms when we can as we know that it's not for everyone GJUK - thanks for the offer of help. Our techy chap will be back on form shortly and changes will be made but your offer is much appreciated

I'll tell you anyway People who don't insist the owners/admin/mods should change the rules to suit them People who can 'play nice' with everyone else People not getting all arsey when things don't go their way People who realise that everyone that runs the forums have lives too with jobs and families etc People whos main diet isn't sour grapes People who will help anyone, not just their mates. People who don't slag others off all the time behind their backs and not have the balls to be open about it People not coming on just to tell everyone about how they are or how they've done and then fooking off again until the next time they do something super-fantastic. (I would include those that would come and post alongside just to bolster their egos too) I'd like to see People not complaining that something doesn't work on a forum, when clearly they are the only ones with the problem It would be nice to see a forum where those that have been reminded of rules and forum etiquette (often not just general, but specific to the forum) not sulking and claiming they've been picked on What would be good is if those that don't like the forum would just not post And actually just not visit at all I'd like to see people waiting patiently for the PHPBB3 I would really like to see people not quoting peoples posts with pictures in, especially directly after the pic has been posted - I CAN FOOKIN SEE IT ALREADY!! :lol: I owuld dearly love to see (but it is 100% guaranteed I won't) the words bought and brought never mixed up again and this list of words used properly (at least sometimes to show some effort has been made ) Your, you're, there, their, they're. That's all I can think of to whinge about at the moment, I'm sure there will be more though
